A Class for the “Tzama’ah Nafshi” Yeshivah at the Home of The Rav

The young men of the “Tzama’ah Nafshi” Yeshivah, led by Rabbi Yaakov Amzaleg shlit"a and Rabbi Sarya Vakhi shlit"a, entered into the inner sanctum for a special class from The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The students of “Tzama’ah Nafshi,” a program to strengthen young men in Torah learning through the Shuvu Banim institutions, merited today (Monday), the 9th of Sivan, to attend a class at the home of The Rav shlit"a. At the beginning of the class, The Rav shlit"a strengthened the students regarding matters of kedushah, and explained that all troubles come because of blemishes in the covenant (p’gam habris). After that, he spoke about the sanctity of the home. He then spoke about the righteousness of Avraham, and how—even though he had a father like Terach—he still merited to become Avraham Avinu. This is an example for every person: even if one’s father is not so righteous, everything depends on one’s own inner strength. Afterwards, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the episode of Achazyahu and Baal Zevuv: how he was cursed by Eliyahu because he went to seek counsel from Baal Zevuv. Achazyahu sent to Eliyahu HaNavi two captains of fifty, and twice fire descended from Heaven and burned the fifty soldiers together with their captain. At the end of the class, he spoke about the importance of Hisbodedus, and asked the students that after the class they should go out for Hisbodedus in the desert until the Ma’ariv prayer.

After the class, The Rav shlit"a blessed the students that they should merit shidduchim and all salvations; afterwards, the students went out for Hisbodedus in the Judean Desert, as The Rav shlit"a requested.
