A Lesson for the People of Rishon LeTzion at the Home of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Last night, Wednesday night, the eve of the 17th of Kislev, The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, delivered a lesson for the people of Rishon LeTzion in his holy residence. Below is a summary of the words that The Rav shlit"a mentioned during the lesson:

The Rav shlit"a opened the lesson with the Ramban’s question: How could it be that Yaakov himself did not go to free Dinah and kill the entire city of Shechem? The Rav shlit"a then addressed Rashi’s very first comment in Parshas Bereishis: that if the nations of the world say to Israel, “You are thieves, for you conquered the lands of the seven nations,” Israel answers them: “The entire earth belongs to Hashem; He created it and gave it to whomever was right in His eyes. By His will He gave it to them, and by His will He took it from them and gave it to us.” Later in the lesson, The Rav shlit"a returned to the Ramban—this time regarding the fact that the Chashmonaim erred when they took the kingship, because “the scepter shall not depart from Yehudah”; the monarchy belongs only to Yehudah. The Rav shlit"a further expanded on the Ramban there, that the main reason we fell into the hands of Edom was when they went to make an agreement with Rome.

Later, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the “theft” of the goblet and the humiliations Binyamin received from his brothers, who thought he truly had stolen the goblet. In the course of this, he spoke about the sale of Yosef, and The Rav said that a person must know: everything that happens to him—everything he goes through—is because of “I am Yosef,” because of the sale of Yosef. The Rav shlit"a concluded the lesson after close to fifty minutes by saying that all miracles are in the merit of Binyamin, and that in the merit of the tribe of Binyamin we will merit the complete Geulah speedily in our days, Amen!
