Today—Tuesday, 24 Teves—a Ma’amad of Kavod HaTorah was held, featuring the presentation of certificates to the bochurim of Yeshivas Nachalei HaTorah, under the leadership of the chassidic Rav R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a. The event took place with the participation of The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in the yeshivah hall on Yehudah HaMaccabi Street in the Holy City of Jerusalem.
Before The Rav shlit"a arrived, a festive seudah was held in honor of the Torah. First, the chassidic Rav R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a, head of the “Nachalei Netzach” institutions, addressed the gathering, and afterward the mashgiach, Rabbi Eliyahu Weiss shlit"a, spoke as well.
A little after 15:30, The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a arrived at the Ma’amad of Kavod HaTorah and entered the yeshivah hall to the singing of “Ki Orech Yamim.” After he sat down on his holy chair, the tzibbur began singing heartfelt niggunim with vitality and tremendous awakening. During the singing, a carefully prepared “Minchas Bikkurim” was presented to The Rav—containing a summary of thousands of uninterrupted hours achieved by the holy yeshivah bochurim.
After about twenty minutes of soulful singing, The Rav shlit"a began delivering a fiery, flame-like shiur on the essence of a bochur, and how one merits to become a true yeshivah bochur—through learning Gemara and making the most of one’s time. During the shiur, he also spoke about Parshas Yisro, focusing primarily on Torah 12 in Likkutei Moharan, as brought there.
After half an hour of the shiur, The Rav shlit"a distributed the certificates to the precious bochurim, and then returned to his holy home.
