A Prayer at the Tziyun of Rabbi Baruch of Mezhibuz — From the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a • For the Yom HaHilula

Today is the 18th of Kislev, the Yom HaHilula of the holy Tzaddik, Rabbi Baruch of Mezhibuz—grandson of the Baal Shem Tov and uncle of our holy master, the “Nahal Novea Mekor Chochmah” zy"a.

In Breslov it is well known that at the bris of our holy master, Pega the Prophetess—our holy master’s mother—asked his uncle Rabbi Baruch, who served as the sandek, to bless him that there should be no machlokes against him. Rabbi Baruch replied that such a thing is not possible, because a soul as lofty as this cannot endure in this lowly world without machlokes being stirred against it.

Presented here is a prayer written by the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the holy tziyun of Rabbi Baruch, which is situated adjacent to the tziyun of the Baal Shem Tov zy"a in Mezhibuz, Ukraine:
