A Prayer Before Seudah Revi'it Corresponding to King David, Peace Be Upon Him

Master of the Universe, Almighty, in the merit of Seudah Revi'it (the fourth meal of Shabbat), which gives life to the luz bone—this is the secret of the Resurrection of the Dead. For through Seudah Revi'it, it is possible to revive all the dead in the world. This is the aspect of the verse, "And behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me," which hints at the secret of the Resurrection of the Dead. Therefore, Yaakov said to Yosef, "Shall we come—I, your mother, and your brothers—to bow down to you to the ground?" This also hints at the secret of the Resurrection of the Dead. Therefore, on Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh (the departure of the holy Shabbat), after the long Shabbat during which Eliyahu HaNavi (Elijah the Prophet) could not appear, the secret of Seudah Revi'it is revealed. Eliyahu HaNavi, may he be remembered for good, will herald the Geulah (Redemption), open all the graves of the dead, and bring them back to life. The secret of this meal was revealed by King David, peace be upon him, who never forsook it all the days of his life, until his very last day. ©
