A Prayer to Merit Dancing Every Simchas Torah Without a Moment's Pause, and Through This to Crush the Head of the Snake

"The Dances of Simchas Torah"

Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit on the night of Simchas Torah, the day of Simchas Torah, and the night after Simchas Torah, to dance for 36 hours without pausing for even a single moment or second. Through this, may we merit the rectification of the heels, as it is stated: "And it shall come to pass, because (eikev/heel) you listen... Hashem your God will keep for you the covenant and the lovingkindness" (Devarim 7:12). For only through song and dance can one merit the guarding of the covenant (spiritual purity), so that Hashem will keep the covenant and the lovingkindness for you. Because only through dancing are the heels of Leah incorporated into the crown of Rachel. This shares the gematria (numerical value) of Arad, Eder, and Arod. For by jumping on one's heels, one merits to crush the head of the snake. This is the head of the Arod (venomous serpent), the head of all the Arodim. These were created from the very bones of Bilaam and Balak, who were—and still are—the roots of all the klippos (impure spiritual husks), and all the snakes and all the Arodim, which share the gematria of Rachel and Leah. For only through dancing do the heels of Leah connect with the crown of Rachel. Then, all the Arodim, all the snakes, and all the fiery serpents that burn a person's body and soul are completely destroyed. This is like Rabbi Shimon ben Elazar, who came from Migdal Eder {which has the gematria of Rachel and Leah}. He merited the spiritual level where Rachel is incorporated into Leah, and the crown of Rachel is transformed into the shoe of Leah. Regarding this it is stated, "Upon Edom I will cast My shoe" (Tehillim 60:10), and it does not say "my sword," but rather "my spear."

To merit dancing every Simchas Torah without pausing for a moment or a second, and through this to crush the head of the snake and destroy all the Arodim and fiery serpents that burn a person's body.
