A Prayer to Merit Distributing Much Chai Rotel, Through Which Life, Healing, and Immense Wealth are Drawn Down
A Prayer for Chai Rotel
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to distribute much Chai Rotel (18 rotels of drink) on Lag BaOmer, which falls on the 18th of Iyar, for that is the time to draw down life and all healings. For through Chai Rotel, new life is drawn down to each and every one, and we merit immense wealth, as it is said, 'A golden vine stood at the entrance of the Sanctuary, supported on poles. Whoever donated a golden leaf, a golden berry, or a golden cluster, would bring it and hang it there.' Because through Chai Rotel, all the healings in the world are drawn down, along with a long life of more than 120 years. For the Paroches (Temple curtain) was a handbreadth thick, woven from seventy-two threads, which is the secret of the Name of A"B (the 72-letter Divine Name), because four times Chai (18) Rotel is the Name of A"B. This is the secret of the jug of oil of Rivka, and in the Paroches, on every single thread there were 24 strands, the secret of the jug of oil of Rivka, and the secret of the jug of oil that was Chai Rotel which descended to Yaakov Avinu from Heaven. And three hundred Kohanim would immerse the Paroches if, Heaven forbid, a creeping creature or an impure person touched it. For Rebbe Nachman says that three hundred hints at humility and lowliness {Torah 6}, Tlas Ma"H (three times the Name of Ma"H), "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom, nor the strong man boast of his strength, nor the rich man boast of his wealth." Because three hundred plus 1 is the gematria of Eish (fire), for man (Ish) and woman (Isha) is fire. And regarding those who come on Lag BaOmer to Meron to receive the fire of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai together with the Name of Havayah (the Tetragrammaton), to this we merit in the merit of the Chai Rotel, in the merit of the holy Hadlakah (bonfire lighting) of Rashbi in Meron. For Meron is the inner essence of Metatron, who is the angel that was revealed to Rashbi, and learned with him all the secrets of the Torah that Rashbi revealed to us in the holy Zohar.
To Merit on Lag BaOmer that a Spirit of Purity Descends Upon Us, to Merit the Rectification of the Feet, to be Enveloped in the Tallis of Mitzvah (which is Torah and Mitzvos), and to Rectify All the Tikkunim from All Reincarnations
A Prayer on the Teaching of the Mikvah, on the Teaching of Rabbi Akiva in Honor of Rashbi
"Just as a mikvah purifies the impure, so too Hashem purifies Israel." For on Lag BaOmer, a spirit of purity and a spirit of holiness descends upon Your entire nation, the House of Israel—upon the tzaddikim and also upon the wicked. Everyone receives a spirit of holiness and purity from the sefirah of Hod she'b'Hod (Splendor within Splendor). Then, we ascend to the level of Adam Kadmon d'Adam Kadmon (the Primordial Man of the Primordial Man), and we rectify all the blemishes of the Bris (covenant) from all our reincarnations. For Hod corresponds to the left leg, and through this, we merit the rectification of the legs. May I always merit to be enveloped in a Tallis of mitzvah. This is the meaning of the verse, "Just as a mikvah purifies the impure, so too Hashem purifies Israel"—through mitzvos and Torah study, He draws a spirit of purity upon us.
To Merit Immediate Salvation in All Blessings Through Our Journey to the Tzaddik, Specifically Through the Toil, Pressure, and Pain Involved in the Hardship of the Journey, Whereby We are Blessed Manifold. We Must be Careful Not to Lose This Gift Received Completely for Free, and Always Rely on the Tzaddik Who Has the Power to Exempt the World from Judgment, Whose Seven Eyes Roam the Earth and Watch Over Us for the Good.
A Prayer for the Journey to Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, as soon as we leave our home on our journey to Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, grant us the merit that all our requests and desires be accepted and answered in the blink of an eye. As it is said, "And it shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." For by traveling to the tzaddik, by walking to the tzaddik, and through the toil, pressure, and pain involved in the journey to the tzaddik, we merit that Hashem immediately fulfills all our desires and requests. As it is said, 'Agra d'Kallah Duchaka' (The reward is in proportion to the exertion)—the reward for the pressure, pain, toil, and effort in traveling to the tzaddik is that Hashem immediately fulfills all our desires manifold, infinitely. As Yoav said to King David, 'May Hashem add to Your people a hundred times as many as they are,' which means a hundred times multiplied by two and two, totaling a billion trillion times over. Thus, Hashem is ready to fulfill all our desires and requests, and we must be careful not to lose this gift which we receive completely for free. Please, Hashem, fulfill all our desires for the good, and bring upon us blessing and peace quickly from the four corners of the earth. Gather the dispersed of His people Israel, and all the sparks of holiness that have been scattered, lost, hidden, dissolved, and dispersed. May Hashem, blessed be He, gather all the sparks in the blink of an eye (k'heref ayin = 435), in the merit of the Tzaddik Yesod Olam (the foundation of the world = 435), who is Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, to whom we are traveling right now. He is hinted at in the word "Bereishis" (In the beginning), which contains the letters "Es Rashb"i" (With Rashbi). For Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is the secret of Bereishis, with whom Hashem created this world and the Next World. The entire creation depends on Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, and apart from him and Hashem, blessed be He, there is nothing; the entire world is as nothing and naught compared to him. He can exempt the entire world from judgment, and therefore we can rely on him even in times of distress, for his seven eyes roam the earth and watch over us for the good. For in the merit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, You deliver the mighty into the hands of the weak, the wicked into the hands of the righteous, the many into the hands of the few, the impure into the hands of the pure, and the arrogant into the hands of those engaged in Your Torah.
To Merit Upon Our Return from the Holy Rashbi that the Holy Spark We Received This Night Burns Within Us, Fulfilling the Verse "The Jews Had Light and Gladness, Joy and Honor," Enabling Us to Eradicate All the Evil Within Us. May We Have the Strength to Stand Firm and Resolute Against All the Tests Facing Us, Like Samson the Hero, and Attain Proficiency in the Entire Torah.
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me merit upon our return from Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai—the light of lights, the light of the seven days of creation—who extracted us from the teeth of the S"M (the evil inclination) and redeemed us from slavery to freedom, from darkness to a great light, from gloom to illumination. Please, Hashem, after we have been with Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the light of lights, the light of the seven days, and we have received from his great and awesome light, and merited to see Hashem face to face, as it is said (Deuteronomy 5:4), "Face to face Hashem spoke with you." And after we have seen Hashem face to face speaking with us—for Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai stops all plagues, heals all illnesses, blesses all barren women with children, resurrects all the dead in the blink of an eye (k'heref ayin = 435), and draws down to the world the soul of Mashiach ben David = 435. And now that we have merited to be with Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai an entire night until the morning light, and to receive from his counsel and his spirit. Every single person who spent this night with Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai merited a true spark from the holy and awesome Rashbi. Even Moshe Rabbeinu only merited to receive the Torah from Sinai when he connected with the soul of Rashbi, the secret of Bereishis. Therefore, when we arrive now at Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and connect with the spark of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai that belongs to the root of our soul, this spark illuminates all the darkness for us, as it is written, "The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor." This holy and awesome spark ignites within us all the other sparks that were implanted in us from other tzaddikim. Now, on this holy and awesome day, at the Hillula (anniversary of passing) of the holy and awesome Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, with this spark of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai that we received tonight, we will ignite all the sparks within each and every one. By the power of the spark of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai received tonight, each person will be able to heal all the sick, and eradicate all the evil within me. I will no longer have any evil inclination in the world whatsoever, nor any lust for any forbidden thing. From today on, I will withstand all the tests in the world. By the power of the spark of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai that was implanted in me tonight, I will merit to know the entire Torah, the entire Talmud (Shas), the Ketzos and the Nesivos, everything word for word, letter by letter. From today, I will not miss a single word or letter—not from the Talmud, not from the Chumash, not from Ketzos HaChoshen, not from Nesivos HaMishpat, and not from Tokfo Kohen. The verse shall be fulfilled in me, "Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute shall sing for joy." Grant me grace, in the merit of the holy and awesome Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, with the trait of alacrity (zerizus), so that there will never be any slackness in me. Thus, I will merit to be a mighty, resolute, and strong hero like Samson the hero, who merited 912 years, like Seth the son of Adam HaRishon; "Shimshon HaGibbor" (Samson the hero) has the gematria of 912.
To Merit Inclusion in the Holy Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Who is the Green Line that Encompasses the Entire World Day and Night, the Aspect of "Shabbos of the Entire Day." To Merit Despising All the Lusts of This World, Especially on Lag BaOmer, and to Attain Truth, Faith, and Humility.
A Prayer for the Song of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai: "Bar Yochai, in the Holy of Holies, a Green Line Renewing the Months"
Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is the Green Line, as it is said regarding Queen Esther that she had a greenish complexion, meaning she was in the aspect of the Green Line, green gold that encompasses the entire world day and night. For Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was situated all the days of his life, from the moment he was born, in the Holy of Holies, and from there he leads the world with immense holiness. For the Green Line is the sefirah of Binah (Understanding), and Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is the sefirah of Binah itself. Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is himself the sefirah of Binah, which in every moment and second renews and is renewed. For the Green Line renews all the lunar births of all the New Months (Rosh Chodesh). Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is the aspect of "Shabbos of the entire day," the aspect of seven Sabbaths, the secret of fifty. He is the exalted secret of the letter Shin of the Tefillin, and he is the one who binds the Shin of three branches with the Shin of four branches, together making a Shin of 7 branches, in the aspect of "seven Sabbaths." Through this, we merit to truly reach the Fiftieth Gate, and we merit the aspect of the knot of the Tefillin. Through this, the complete Geulah (Redemption) will come. For Shin is three hundred (tlas me'ah), "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom, nor the strong man boast of his strength, nor the rich man boast of his wealth." For the three traits are "Truth, Faith, and Humility," and it is impossible to merit them completely except by one who despises all the lusts of this world, money, and eating, especially on Lag BaOmer.
To Merit Inclusion in the Soul of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Whose Soul was Created and Hewn from the Infinite Light, and Therefore He Sees from One End of the World to the Other, Meriting to Ascend Above the Level of the Angels. Thus, One Must Light the Bonfire Specifically with Pure Olive Oil.
"Bar Yochai, the letter Yud, Primordial Wisdom." Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai said, "I am able to exempt the entire world from judgment." For Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was literally the soul of Adam HaRishon, and therefore he is hinted at in the word "Bereishis" (In the beginning) as "Es Rashb"i" (With Rashbi). This is the secret of "Yud, Primordial Wisdom," which is the soul of Rebbe Nachman. For Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is the first utterance of the Ten Utterances of Creation, in the aspect of "Yud, Primordial Wisdom." All this is included in the word "Bereishis," which is the first utterance, the secret of the concealed utterance. Then, on Lag BaOmer, we grasp the innermost of the innermost, in the aspect of "You gazed inward at His glory." Then we merit the 32 paths of wisdom, which is the secret of the innermost of the innermost, corresponding to the 32 paths of wisdom included in "A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." Therefore it is said of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, "You are the anointed cherub, the splendor of your light." For the soul of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was created from the Infinite Light, and therefore he sees from one end of the world to the other, because he merited to ascend above the level of the angels. Therefore it is said, "You are the anointed cherub, the splendor of your light," meaning that the soul of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was created from the Infinite Light. And since the entire soul of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was hewn from the Infinite Light, one must light the bonfire with pure olive oil, in the aspect of "the anointed splendor of your light."
To Merit Seeing Rashbi in the Lag BaOmer Bonfire, to Dance with All My Might so that Every Drop of Sweat Dripping from Me Turns into Delights and an Offering Before Hashem, Bringing Sweetening to the Entire Nation of Israel. May All the Alarms of War Around Us be Nullified, May There Never Be Wars in the Land of Israel, May There Be Infinite Unity Throughout the World, and May We be Meticulous to Study the Holy Idros by Rashbi.
A Prayer Before the Hadlakah (Bonfire Lighting) and to Merit Seeing Rashbi in the Bonfire
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to see Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in the Lag BaOmer bonfire during the dancing. May I merit to sweat during the dancing, and to dance with all my 248 limbs and 365 sinews until my soul is exhausted, until all the murky blood leaves me through the sweat as I dance during the dancing. I will dance with all my 248 limbs and 365 sinews, with all my Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah, Chayah, and Yechidah (the five levels of the soul), until my soul is exhausted. And from the sweat that drips from me during the dancing, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai will gather it all and make from it a garment of delight before the Holy One, blessed be He, and it will be like an offering before Hashem. Through this, there will be a great sweetening of judgments for the entire nation of Israel wherever they are, especially on Lag BaOmer. All the alarms of war heard around us will be nullified, and in the merit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and Lag BaOmer, there will be no more wars in the Land of Israel. In the entire world, there will only be infinite unity day and night = 177, without pause. We will study Torah day and night = 177, and we will study the Zohar, Eitz Chaim, and all the holy Idros (assemblies). We are obligated to study by Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in Meron both the Idra Rabba in Parashas Nasso, and the Idra Zuta in Parashas "Ha'azinu HaShamayim Va'adabeirah," and Rachel Imeinu (our Matriarch) will shelter us.
To Merit True Love of Friends, to Rejoice in Another's Joy and Be Happy for Him as if it Were Truly My Own. May We Never Disrespect Any Friend, and Rectify the Blemish of the Sin of Rabbi Akiva's Students, Perfecting Ourselves in Love of Friends and Drawing Closer to the Fiftieth Gate.
A Prayer on the Teaching of Rabbi Akiva: "Love Your Neighbor as Yourself" is a Great Principle in the Torah
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit of true love of friends. May I never again hurt any friend, nor disrespect any friend. May I always love everyone with a true love, with heart and soul, and only praise them and be happy for them. May I merit to rejoice in the successes of another and his sons and daughters, and may I merit to rejoice in the successes of another as if they were truly my own successes. As it is written in Psalms (4:8), "You have put joy in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound." Meaning, whenever my friends grow and increase, it is from the abundance of pure joy burning in my heart, out of true love of friends, and true joy over the fact that another is succeeding. Thus, may we too merit to rectify the sin of the students of Rabbi Akiva, the 24,000 pairs of students, by not disrespecting one another, for they did not treat each other with respect. With every passing day, we are becoming more and more perfected in the love of friends, and through this, we draw closer to the Fiftieth Gate, to the Holy Temple of fire, as it is said, "Love your neighbor as yourself."
To Merit During the Shooting of the Bow and Arrows to Aim at a Hair's Breadth Until it Pierces the Liver of the Sitra Achra (the Other Side), in the Merit that Rashbi Himself Shoots the Arrows. May We Merit Holy Children, and May All Barren Men and Women be Blessed with Children.
A Prayer Before the Shooting of the Bow and Arrows - Chitzim (Arrows) = 148
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to pray before You during the shooting of the arrows, that I may merit to aim at a hair's breadth and not miss. May the verse be fulfilled in me, "Until an arrow pierces his liver," until the arrow of Hashem's glory pierces the liver of the Sitra Achra (the forces of impurity). Until there is the aspect of the glory of God in revelation, that all the nations of the earth will see the glory of Hashem in revelation, and the glory of Hashem will be a revealed miracle before the eyes of all the nations, as it is said, "And the glory of Hashem will be a miracle before the eyes of all the nations." We merit all of this during the shooting of the arrows. One must have in mind during the shooting of the arrows that the Name of A"B (Yud Hei Vav Hei = 72) pierces the Name of Sa"G (Yud Hei Vau Hei = 63), and then Mashiach ben David = 435 will be born in the blink of an eye (k'heref ayin = 435). This is in the merit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, who is the one shooting all the arrows and piercing the liver of the Sitra Achra. Then it is possible to merit holy children, and all barren men and women will be blessed with children.
To Merit During the Cutting of the Hair and the Leaving of the Peyos (Sidelocks) that Supernal Mercy is Revealed on That Day. The Peyos Transform into the Two Great Luminaries, Illuminating the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars. The Entire World is Filled with Mercy, the Entire World is Conducted Through Song and Melody, and the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy are Revealed in the World.
A Prayer Before the Chalakah (First Haircut)
The secret of the two Peyos is the secret of the two great luminaries. For the Zohar says in Bereishis 20 (Eitz Chaim 1, page 67) that the secret of the revelation of the Peyos is the secret of the revelation of the two great luminaries that will be in the Future to Come, without any diminishment. For the two Peyos transform into the two great luminaries, because the two Peyos illuminate all the worlds, both above and below. The two Peyos illuminate all the darkness, drawing lights from Atika Kadisha (the Holy Ancient One) to the worlds, and illuminating the sun, the moon, and the stars. Please, Hashem, grant me the merit of revealing the Peyos publicly. For the Peyos illuminate all the worlds and all the levels from Chesed (Kindness) up to Reisha d'Lo Isyada (the Unknowable Head). The right Pe'ah is the right side of Reisha d'Lo Isyada, which illuminates all the worlds on the right side, and the left Pe'ah illuminates all the worlds of Gevurah (Severity) which are on the left side. For the two Peyos correspond to Mashiach ben David and Mashiach ben Yosef. (Gematria: Meirav 252, daughter of 402, Shaul 337 = 991; Mashiach 358, ben 52, David 14 = 424; Mashiach 358, ben 52, Yosef 156 = 566). For through the revelation of the Peyos, we ascend to Atika Kadisha, where everything is entirely mercy. The day on which the Peyos are revealed is entirely and exclusively mercy, and the mercy cascades from above to below upon the entire nation of Israel. On that day when the Peyos are revealed, there is no judgment in the world whatsoever, and the entire world is filled with infinite mercy. Therefore it is written in Parashas Emor to the Kohanim, "Do not destroy the corners (pe'as) of your beard." Through the Peyos, the entire world is conducted solely through song and melody, and everyone sees the hand of Hashem and the perfection of Hashem. For now, at the time of the revelation of the Peyos, this is the revelation of all the mercy that exists in the world: "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the Name of Hashem before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy." For the revelation of the Peyos is the revelation of all the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy being revealed in the world.
To Merit Miracles and Wonders, Especially During the Days of Sefiras HaOmer (Counting of the Omer), that the Glory of Hashem be Revealed. May the Holy Rashbi Split All the Darkness for Us, Illuminate All the Hidden Things for Us, Open All the Locks for Us, Bypass All the Guards, Subdue the Flaming Sword that Turns Every Way, and Illuminate Us with His Great and Infinite Light.
A Prayer for Lag BaOmer Based on Sotah 34a
And what was the height of the water? Twelve mil by twelve mil, corresponding to the camp of Israel. And when they reach Rabbi Elazar the son of Rabbi Shimon, he says that the Jordan was split over 300 mil by 300 mil.
Please, Hashem, perform a miracle and a wonder with me. Three hundred is the secret of Tlas Ma"H (three times the Name of Ma"H), "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom, nor the strong man boast of his strength, nor the rich man boast of his wealth; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, says Hashem." For all our divine service throughout the days of the Sefirah, especially on Lag BaOmer and the night of Shavuos, is to reveal the glory of Hashem in every single place, and from every single place, in the aspect of "that he understands and knows Me." For now, in another 4 weeks, we enter the Land of Israel, and now in Hod she'b'Hod (Splendor within Splendor) - Lag BaOmer, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai splits the sea, the Jordan, and all the darkness for us. He illuminates all the darkness and all the hidden treasures in barrels and secret places; Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai brings everything out during the days of the Sefirah, and especially now on Lag BaOmer, from concealment to revelation. In the aspect of "A locked garden, a sealed spring," which is all said regarding Lag BaOmer, "A locked garden is my sister, my bride." Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai opens all the locks, bypasses all the guards, and subdues the flaming sword that turns every way in the blink of an eye (k'heref ayin = 435). Through this, You will reveal to us Mashiach ben David = 435.
To Merit Multiplying Journeys to Tzaddikim and to the Graves of Tzaddikim, to Merit Expanded Consciousness (Mochin d'Gadlus). Wherever I Travel, May I Never Divert My Mind from My Wife, Knowing that She Hovers Over Me and Guards Me from Every Sinful Urge and Evil Thought. May We Merit to Receive All the Abundance from the Tzaddik, to Bring About All Salvations, and to be Protected from Absolutely Everything.
Through the Journey to the Tzaddik, One Receives Expanded Consciousness (Mochin d'Gadlus)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to multiply my journeys to tzaddikim. Every single day, may I merit to travel to tzaddikim and to the graves of tzaddikim, and through this, may I merit expanded consciousness (Mochin d'Gadlus), that all the intellects will be opened for me, and all the barriers will be removed from me. As it is written, "She ascends with him and does not descend with him." May I merit the fulfillment of the verse stated regarding Avraham Avinu and Sarah, "And he went on his journeys." The Zohar says in Bereishis 49a: A person is forbidden to ever divert his mind from his wife. This is the meaning of "And he went on his journeys"—can a person really take his wife on every single journey of his? Rather, Avraham Avinu, peace be upon him, during his lifetime, all the days of his life, never diverted his mind from his wife. He always placed her before him, watched over her, and her memory never departed from him. For a person is forbidden to divert his mind from his wife, especially when he travels to the tzaddik, for then his wife's soul hovers over him and guards him from every evil urge and evil thought. For on the road, extra guarding is needed not to fall into foreign and forbidden thoughts. Thus, may Hashem grant us the merit on all roads to guard our eyes and thoughts, and never to divert my mind from my wife. My wife will always be as the apple of my eye, and I will never divert my mind from her. Through this, I will merit to receive all the intellects of the tzaddik, and we will merit to receive all the abundance from the tzaddik. We will bring about all the salvations through this journey, which will be protected from absolutely everything.
