A Prayer Upon Reaching the Age of 13 and Meriting a Treasure of Torah and Knowledge
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, upon my reaching the age of 13, grant me the merit to be the wisest and most righteous person in the world. Please, Hashem, "Do not take Your holy spirit from me" (רוּחַ 214 קָדְשֶׁךָ 424 אַל 31 תִּקַּח 508 מִמֶּנּוּ 136 = 1313), "When I said, 'My foot is slipping,' Your loving-kindness, Hashem, supported me" (אִם 41 אָמַרְתִּי 651 מָטָה 54 רַגְלִי 243 חַסְדְּךָ 92 ה' 26 יִסְעָדֵנִי 204 = 1311). May I merit what is written regarding Yael, "In a lordly bowl she brought him cream" (בְּ-סֵפֶל 170 אַדִּירִים 265 הִקְרִיבָה 322 חֶמְאָה 54 = 811), and may I merit that the soul of Rebbe Nachman ben Simcha ben Feiga (רַבֵּנוּ 258 נַחְמָן 148 בֶּן 52 שִׂמְחָה 353 בֶּן פֵיגֶא = 811) enters me as a spiritual ibur (impregnation). May I merit a treasure of Torah and knowledge (לְ-אוֹצַר 297 שֶׁל 330 תּוֹרָה 611 וְדַעַת 480 = 1718) in the holy city of Jerusalem (בְּקַרְתָּא 703 קַדִּישָׁא 415 דִּירוּשָׁלַיִם 600 = 1718). However, proper conduct is equal to the entire Torah (אַךְ 21 דֶּרֶךְ 224 אֶרֶץ 291 שְׁקוּלָה 441 כְּנֶגֶד 77 כָּל 30 הַתּוֹרָה 616 = 1720), and may I merit this on the day of the Bar Mitzvah, in which we merited the crown of Torah (בְּיוֹם 58 הַבָּר מִצְוָה שֶׁזָּכִינוּ 403 בּוֹ 8 לְכֶתֶר 650 תּוֹרָה 611 = 1720).
