A Shiur for the “Meshivas Nefesh” Community in Beit Shemesh — in the Home of the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The “Meshivas Nefesh” community in Beit Shemesh, led by the chassidic Rav R’ Carmel Yehuda shlit"a ○ Coverage of the shiur and fiery, flame-like words from within the shiur
The people of the “Meshivas Nefesh” community in Beit Shemesh—drawing many newcomers closer to Rebbe Nachman zy"a—were privileged to be led by Rav Yehuda Carmel shlit"a, who in recent years merited to draw close to Rabbi Berland shlit"a and to drink from the ever-flowing stream that nourishes all who enter the Beis Midrash. Some of those who have been drawing close in the synagogue merited, this evening—on the night of the 24th of Sivan—to enter further into holiness, to attend a shiur in the home of Rabbi Berland shlit"a. In the shiur, which lasted more than thirty-five minutes, Rabbi Berland spoke about the weekly parashah and the dispute of Korach and his assembly. In the middle, Rabbi Berland shlit"a added words of strengthening on shalom bayis, and on the greatness of living in Jerusalem. In the shiur, Rabbi Berland explained that even though Korach’s soul was extremely lofty, and he had a hidden, concealed intention behind his entire dispute with Moshe Rabbeinu—because he wanted to bring the complete Geulah—nevertheless, Rabbi Berland said: one does not argue with the Tzaddik, no matter what a person thinks he will “merit to attain” because of it! Below is a short excerpt from the shiur: “Korach son of Yitzhar—therefore it is written, ‘the choicest oil (cheilev) of Yitzhar’ (Bamidbar 18:12). Korach was pure olive oil, but he needed Moshe. He heard the Aseres HaDibros, because the more righteous a person is, the greater his test is to nullify himself. Rebbe Nosson brings that he was the head of the Levi’im; he was on the very highest level of the entire tribe of Levi, but he could not nullify himself to Moshe—because the more righteous a person is, the harder it is [to nullify oneself to the true Tzaddik].”
