Rabbi Yechezkel passed away after battling a severe illness during his last year. He initially settled in Kfar Chassidim after his marriage, near the 'Knesset Eliyahu' yeshiva where our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, also studied. About 40 years ago, he arrived at the settlement of Nehora and initiated a teshuvah (repentance) revolution there.

As mentioned, in his last year, Rabbi Yechezkel battled a severe illness, but during last year's Passover, his condition worsened, and he needed hospitalization until he had to undergo a complicated surgery on Tuesday. Our teacher, the esteemed Rabbi Berland shlit"a, upon hearing this, traveled to visit him and prayed alongside him the Mincha and Maariv prayers and also recited the Psalms of the Tikkun HaKlali.

Sadly, Rabbi Yechezkel returned his neshamah (soul) the next day, at a time when a large gathering with our teacher, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, was supposed to take place. At ten-thirty in the morning, our teacher arrived at the Shamgar funeral home and spoke of the greatness of his brother, Rabbi Yechezkel zt"l. Afterwards, the mourners traveled to the burial site on the Mount of Olives.

May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
