Amazing Story: The Ventilated Patient Woke Up After Rabbi Berland Appeared in His Dream / The Story of the Outcry

A Jew who was sedated and on a ventilator for two weeks due to the coronavirus donated a Pidyon Nefesh to Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. After the Rav appeared in his dream, he woke up and completely recovered.
Amazing Story: The Ventilated Patient Woke Up After Rabbi Berland Appeared in His Dream
A wondrous miracle occurred during the days when the entire world was gripped by tremendous fear of the virus that cast terror upon everyone, may Hashem protect us. A certain Jew relates that he and several of his family members contracted the severe illness. His condition deteriorated rapidly, and he required urgent hospitalization.
Before going to the hospital, this Jew decided to perform an act of emunas chachamim (faith in the Sages). He set aside the sum of 500 shekels for charity and for pidyon shvuyim (redeeming captives), to help cover the expenses of Morinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a. Afterward, he was admitted to the hospital, where his condition worsened to the point that he was sedated and placed on a ventilator for about fourteen days.
The Promise in the Dream and the Wondrous Awakening
On the fourteenth day of his hospitalization, while lying sedated and on a ventilator, he experienced an amazing revelation. He saw the Rav shlit"a appear in his dream. The Rav turned to him and said explicitly: "You helped me, so with the help of Hashem, may He be blessed, I will help you!"
Immediately after this dream, the patient miraculously woke up. His medical condition began to improve with tremendous speed, thank God, through the loving-kindness of Hashem. He was completely healed from the severe illness, and all the members of his household, may they live long, also recovered completely, thank God.
This wondrous story once again illustrates the tremendous power of the tzaddik. We see how the great merit of participating in pidyon shvuyim (redeeming captives) for Morinu HaRav shlit"a stands by a person in his most difficult hours and draws down revealed salvations upon him.
The Story of the Outcry of the Gaon Rabbi Nissan Dovid Kivak for the Honor of Morinu HaRav
The Chassidic Gaon, Rabbi Nissan Dovid Kivak shlit"a, recently joined the ranks of prominent rabbis who have protested, in accordance with Torah law, against the controversy and persecution. This refers to the severe persecution directed toward Morinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a and his holy community, which numbers thousands of souls, an ordeal that has been ongoing for several years.
An Outcry for the Baalei Teshuvah
The Chassidic Gaon protested vehemently against those who fan the flames, eloquently and logically explaining the great destruction this controversy has brought upon Breslov Chassidus. He painfully described how multitudes of baalei teshuvah (returnees to the faith) suffer from this, people who merely wish to draw closer to Hashem. The controversy causes terrible devastation for many, preventing them from drawing closer to Judaism and to Rebbe Nachman zy"a.
Rabbi Nissan Dovid cried out, declaring that it is an absolute obligation to do everything possible to stop this corrupt controversy. "God forbid that we allow the distancing of Jews who wish to draw closer to Hashem and to Rebbe Nachman!" the Gaon warned, adding that the gates of teshuvah (repentance) are literally being closed in the faces of those seeking to draw near because of this dispute.
Sweetening the Judgments Over the Jewish People
There is no doubt that this genuine protest creates a great stir in Heaven, acting to sweeten the harsh judgments over the Jewish people. We find ourselves in such a difficult time, desperately in need of abundant Heavenly mercy, as we are all aware of the terrible situation we are currently enduring. Every day we hear horrifying reports of widows and orphans, and it is utterly impossible to describe or fathom the sorrow of the Shechinah (Divine Presence).
Many of the leading Torah scholars and tzaddikim of the generation say that these troubles are occurring because the Tzaddik Yesod Olam (the tzaddik who is the foundation of the world) has been imprisoned for almost three months. "Certainly, through this protest, Hashem will bestow upon us mercy and loving-kindness," the Gaon concluded. In the merit of standing up for the honor of the tzaddik, may we all very soon merit the complete Geulah (Redemption), Amen.
