And Between His Shoulders He Dwells • The Yahrtzeit of Binyamin son of Yaakov in Jerusalem

Today, the 11th of MarCheshvan, is the yahrtzeit of Binyamin son of Yaakov, who was born at the time of the passing of his mother, Rachel Imeinu a"h, on the 11th of MarCheshvan. Binyamin son of Yaakov is buried on Strauss Street in Jerusalem, as is known to all that each tribe was buried in its own portion. It is also accepted by tradition that Binyamin son of Yaakov is buried at the entrance to the city (Pitcha d’Karta). This is the location according to the calculation of the Gra and a tradition handed down by the elders of Jerusalem.
Before you is a prayer written by the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a to be said at the grave of Binyamin son of Yaakov in Jerusalem:
Master of the World, full of compassion, Almighty—nothing is beyond You, and no plan is withheld from You—grant me the merit to reach the level of Rachel Imeinu, who merited to give birth to Binyamin son of Yaakov and Rachel, who merited the Yashpeh stone in the Urim VeTumim, which includes within it the full spectrum of colors—because he was entirely love toward every single person. So too, grant me the merit to love each and every person with tremendous self-sacrifice, and to give over my life for every friend and friend, with true Ahavas Yisrael. And may I merit, like Binyamin son of Yaakov and Rachel, who merited that through the great Ahavas Yisrael that burned within him day and night, the Beis HaMikdash was built in his portion—the Beis HaMikdash that atones for all the sins of Israel. For through true Ahavas Yisrael, as Binyamin son of Yaakov and Rachel merited, it is possible to merit that all my sins be atoned for, and the sins of all my friends, and of all Israel—until all sins are transformed into merits, just as it was in the Beis HaMikdash, when the crimson thread would turn white, in the sense of: “Though your sins be like scarlet, they shall become white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be like wool.” And all of this is in the merit of the Beis HaMikdash that was built in the portion of Binyamin. So too, grant me the merit of all the wondrous levels that Binyamin—wonders of wonders—merited, until I and all my friends and all the House of Israel merit the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu and the building of our Beis HaMikdash, speedily in our days, in the blink of an eye, Amen.
