"And If We Save One Jewish Soul"
Rabbi Frank Raises His Cry Against the Persecutors of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
Friends! The Holy Torah tells us: "Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor" (Leviticus 19). And in the Sifra (Kedoshim, Parsha 2, Chapter 4) it is said: "From where do we know that if you possess testimony about him, you are not permitted to remain silent? Because it is said: 'Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor!'"
As part of fulfilling this mitzvah, please! Ensure that the material in this letter, in its entirety, along with all its appendices, reaches as many email addresses as possible—of rabbis, influencers, halachic authorities (morei tzedek), Admorim, public figures, and political figures from all spectrums existing within Haredi society.
If there is anyone who can print this booklet in thousands of copies and distribute it, may a blessing come upon them. I hope, as mentioned, that through this activity we will also fulfill the mitzvah of: 'Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor.' This letter, I hope, will succeed in introducing, at the very least, doubts and concerns... to everyone whom the 'opponents' are working hard, day and night, to entice and add to their choir...
Despite the length of these words, there is no choice for anyone who truly wants to be objective and is interested in knowing the additional truth that exists in this painful affair... And if we save one soul of Israel—all the more so a rabbi and halachic authority in Israel—then that shall be our reward!
With friendship,
Baruch Mordechai (Motty) Frank
This is the introduction that Rabbi Motty Frank attached to the booklet he authored regarding the campaign of slander against our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, following the matters we have published in the past. One can further see from his words inside that the matter truly burns in his bones, even though he tries to remain gentle against the group of those who persecute the tzaddik. For in truth, as Rabbi Frank wrote inside, the controversy against the tzaddik began many years ago and each time it escalates. Until today, the dissenters have lost their minds and taken upon themselves the role of Amalek, who is willing to sacrifice his soul to delay the Geulah of Israel.
