“And Moshe Called Hoshea bin Nun Yehoshua” • Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Praying at the Tomb of Yehoshua bin Nun in the Village of Kifl Haris

Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a arrived last night to pray at the tomb of Yehoshua bin Nun in the village of Kifl Haris ○ Special documentation

In honor of Parshas Shelach-Lecha, a large-scale visit took place last night to the graves of Yehoshua bin Nun and Kalev ben Yefuneh—who stood firm and did not fall for the counsel of the spies in spreading a negative report about the Land. Thousands of Jews came from all across the country to the graves of Yehoshua bin Nun and Kalev ben Yefuneh, located in the village of Kifl Haris near the Ariel Junction.

Unexpectedly, and for the first time in five years, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a also arrived, as mentioned, last night—on the night of the 16th of Sivan—at the village of Kifl Haris at 1:15 a.m., and entered the tomb of Yehoshua bin Nun, which is situated in the center of the village. For the first time in history, The Rav shlit"a entered together with all of Anash who were there and merited to remain until The Rav shlit"a arrived.

When The Rav shlit"a reached the wall of the tziyun, he began reciting The Tikkun HaKlali with a melody together with all of Anash, with vitality and deep emotion. The Rav stood facing the tziyun of Yehoshua bin Nun with his eyes closed, in a powerful awakening, his face aflame like a burning fire. The Rav continued on to a second and third recitation of The Tikkun HaKlali, but in the middle of the third, the army requested that everyone leave the tziyun. The Rav shlit"a stopped after completing Psalm 42 within The Tikkun HaKlali, recited Kaddish, and blessed everyone present. Afterward, he left the village, with a royal convoy accompanying him all the way to his holy home in Jerusalem, may it be rebuilt and reestablished.
