In this article

  1. As part of the ongoing campaign encouraging the young men of our holy community to commit to abstaining from technological devices, approximately 50 yeshiva students from Chassidic institutions, who are among the disciples of Moreinu HaRav shlit"a, signed a membership certificate in which they accepted upon themselves to abstain from technological devices for the coming year.
  2. On Thursday, the 22nd of Shevat, Parashat Mishpatim, the Chassidic yeshiva students signed in the holy home of Moreinu HaRav shlit"a, as the Rav added his own signature to the certificate.
  3. Shortly after the signing, near midnight, news broke of the great miracle—an attempted bombing attack on buses in the Gush Dan area. Moreinu HaRav shlit"a immediately declared, without hesitation, that there was no doubt that the students' overcoming themselves by committing to abstinence had prevented the horrific attack, which could have ended in a terrible bloodbath, may God have mercy.
