B.D.E. The Man of Suffering, Rabbi Reuven Neiblat zt"l, Has Passed Away • Watch the Eulogy of the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

After many years of unbearable suffering, Rabbi Reuven Neiblat zt"l—one of the distinguished avreichim in the Shuvu Banim community—passed away last night, Sunday, the 20th of Tammuz.

Rabbi Reuven Neiblat was born to his parents in Chile, and at about fifteen years old he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael together with his family. After coming to Eretz Yisrael, he merited to return in teshuvah and to come to know The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. After his return to teshuvah, he established his home and merited to raise two special children who required care—doing so with endless devotion and self-sacrifice. For many years he merited to learn in the Shuvu Banim kollel in the Old City, and about a decade ago he was struck with the terrible illness that consumed every good part of his body. In the last month his condition worsened in his final illness and he was hospitalized, but the decree was sealed: on Sunday morning, the 20th of Tammuz, the bitter news arrived of his passing at the age of 66. Rabbi Reuven Neiblat left behind two orphans, the older of them only thirteen years old! Last night the funeral procession took place, departing from the courtyard of our Beis Midrash on Edo HaNavi Street. The Rav shlit"a delivered a eulogy for Rabbi Reuven Neiblat, saying that through his awesome suffering he merited to stop the entire intifada that is now taking place outside. After a few words of eulogy, The Rav shlit"a recited Kaddish, and the funeral continued to the Breslov section on Har HaZeisim.

Below are the words of the eulogy delivered by The Rav shlit"a for Rabbi Reuven Neiblat zt"l:

May his memory be blessed. T.N.TZ.B.H.
