Brit of Ben Nachman Goldblum, Great-Grandson of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
Grandson of Rabbi Stern shlit"a - and Words of Torah from Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

On Friday, the Brit Milah (circumcision) took place for the great-grandson of our teacher, the holy Gaon Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a. The newborn, Matityahu, is the son of Rabbi Nachman Goldblum and the son-in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Stern, head of the Nachalei Netzach institutions.
After the prayer, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a sat down for the Brit meal, together with the family.

Holy words of our teacher, the holy Gaon Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a
"Yesterday was the Yahrtzeit of Reb Noson, who was Mashiach ben Yosef, and our Rebbe was Mashiach ben David. The entire matter is to draw forth Mashiach ben David; Rachel, even though she was the 'foundation of the house,' did not merit bringing Mashiach ben David, only Mashiach ben Yosef."
"Only Leah, who was hated, could bring [Yehuda, from whom comes] Mashiach ben David, just as our Rebbe says that only one who has enemies below has no judgment above, and one who rebukes is automatically hated by everyone."
"Joseph's dream—'And behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me'—was fulfilled by Joshua, who stopped the sun and the moon. He said, 'Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and moon, in the valley of Aijalon.' The entire work of a person is to stop the sun and the moon."
"In the city of Ekron, there was idolatry in the form of a giant fly. When Ahaziah, King of Judah, sent to inquire of the fly whether he would live or die, Elijah the Prophet stopped them. He said to him, 'What can a fly do to help you?' And so he did not fear the king; Elijah did not fear anyone. So he killed two battalions of 50 soldiers and the officer above them, totaling 102 men, and he received 102 life sentences for this; therefore, he lives until today to complete the years of imprisonment that were decreed upon him."
"So why did he not kill Jezebel? It is because Jezebel would dance and kick up her heels."
"Jacob was hated by Esau; it is written, 'And Esau hated.' What was Esau jealous of? Esau received all the most blessed lands; Jacob only received the Land of Israel, most of which is sand. Most of the Land of Israel is sand, and the fruits grow only through artificial irrigation. And now rains have fallen and people are being swept away. There were people who wanted to go to the sea on Shabbat, so the sea came to them."
"Because [even the leaders of Zionism said that one must keep Shabbat]. Ahad Ha'am said, 'More than the Jewish people have kept the Shabbat, the Shabbat has kept them.' S.Y. Agnon told that Bialik saw someone lighting a cigarette on Shabbat in the middle of his speech, so he shouted at him, 'Get out of here, here we do not desecrate the Shabbat!'"
"And in the platform of Tel Aviv from the year 1909, there is an entire clause that one of the foundations of the city is the keeping of Shabbat. At first, Tel Aviv was several neighborhoods; there was the 'Ahuzat' neighborhood, and later they united into one city. Now we are already on Thursday night, approaching Shabbat; in another 48 hours, they will light Shabbat candles."
"Shabbat candles and Shabbat songs are Mashiach ben David; a person needs to be a spark of Mashiach ben David."
"Terach is T-R-Ch (600-200-8); 600 corresponds to the 600,000 souls of Israel, and 8 is 'chivarta' (whiteness), as he merited eight paths. Job was a reincarnation of Terach, and if he had not complained, they would say, 'The G-d of Abraham, the G-d of Isaac, the G-d of Jacob, and the G-d of Job' (Pesikta Rabbati). And Benaiah ben Jehoiada snatched the spear from the hand of the Egyptian; he is a spark of Moses who killed an Egyptian man. It is forbidden for a person to strike, even if everyone is screaming at him that he is a thief and a criminal."
"Therefore it is written about Benaiah, 'But he did not attain to the three.' Because David was the soul of Mashiach ben David, the external forces overcame him, and all his days he was pursued, moving from cave to cave in Adullam and throughout the southern Hebron hills. There are two Carmels; there is a Carmel in the southern Hebron hills and there is the Carmel near Haifa, where the event with Elijah took place, where they proclaimed, 'Hashem is the G-d, Hashem is the G-d.'"
"King David received three times 70 years: 70 years from Adam the First, another 70 years from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and another 70 years from Methuselah, Jared, and Enoch. The 'Aseret Ma'amarot' asks: If so, he should have lived 210 years—but King David did not sleep or eat, only studied Torah, and in 70 years he accomplished the output of 210 years."
"David could have conquered the entire world; he wanted to conquer Rome, but Hashem told him not to conquer it because they would return it. King David wrote 2,500 verses in Psalms."
"Our entire work is to reveal the soul of Mashiach ben David, which was our holy and awesome Rebbe."
