The Family Tried All Treatments

A wonderful story published during the days of Chanukah, in which a sweet child tells, with natural simplicity, how an ointment his family received from the holy tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a for healing, caused terrible wounds that had spread over his body to vanish in the blink of an eye.

A moving moment in the story, which many who have come to be blessed by Rav Berland recognize, is when the child recounts that every treatment they tried to use to remove the wounds failed. Until finally, his mother gave him the ointment to apply, and everything passed immediately. Yet, here the child notes something wonderful; he mentions how he passed his hand over the place where the wounds had been, as if in disbelief, but he found nothing—everything had passed and healed as if it had never been.
