Campaign Activists Who Helped Save “Hitchadshus” Honored at a Tribute Gathering in the Home of The Rav shlit"a

The Tribute Gathering for the Campaign Activists ○ A Fiery, Flame-Like Lesson Together with The Rav shlit"a ○ Distribution of a Gift from The Rav shlit"a

This past month of Shevat, a campaign was held to save the Hitchadshus publication system from shutting down. Although the campaign did not succeed as fully as we had hoped—since we still have not reached our goal and the system is still facing difficulties—one thing is certain: if hundreds of subscribers had not joined, the Hitchadshus issue would not be coming out now, and certainly not the issues that came out before it. Behind this holy campaign stood a number of our avreichim and bachurim, members of our community, who responded to the stirring words of The Rav shlit"a about the obligation to keep the “Hitchadshus” bulletin alive, and about the urgent need of the hour to do everything possible to prevent its closure. These activists merited true mesirus nefesh, volunteering wholeheartedly to bring in one more subscriber and then another—so that the documentation of our history could continue through the flagship publication of the Shuvu Banim community, namely the “Hitchadshus” bulletin.

On Monday night, the eve of 19 Elul, a tribute gathering was held for some of these precious activists in the holy residence of The Rav shlit"a, before the Ma’ariv prayer. In The Rav shlit"a’s lesson, he aroused the listeners on many topics, including shalom bayis and the holiness of the home. He also spoke about Shmuel HaNavi, who was in the Mishkan at Shiloh during the years of his childhood.

At the conclusion of the lesson, the activists passed before the holy presence and received a special gift from the hands of The Rav shlit"a: the sefer “Alei Siach,” from the writings of The Rav shlit"a, published by the “Be’er HaNachal” Institute.

From here, a blessing of thanks is sent on behalf of the Hitchadshus editorial team to all those who helped and assisted throughout the campaign, together with the blessing, “May your wellsprings spread outward!”

Below is documentation from the lesson:
