Getting Married to Bring King Moshiach — The Daily Strengthening from the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
The daily strengthening from our teacher, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a — “For 4 years we’ve been waiting for Gog and Magog, and there is no Gog and Magog”

“And behold, an olive leaf, freshly plucked, was in its mouth” (Genesis 8:11)

“But I am like a flourishing olive tree in the House of God” (Psalms 52:10)

“And it came to pass after seven days” (Genesis 7:10)

Friday, 30 Tishrei 5785 — “The yetzer hara is the same yetzer before the wedding and after the wedding”

These are his holy words:

For Rabbi Nasan says that the entire wedding is only in order to bring Moshiach.

Rabbi Nasan spoke only about Moshiach. All of Likutey Halachos speaks about Moshiach. Wherever you open Likutey Halachos, it speaks about Moshiach.

On page 52 (Likutey Halachos, Orach Chaim), Rabbi Nasan explains: Why do we get married? To bring Moshiach! Only Moshiach—only to draw down the soul of Moshiach. We want only Moshiach!

Rabbi Nasan would cry out all day: “Moshiach, Moshiach, Moshiach.”

Rabbi Berland shlit"a turned to a groom who was participating in his class and said to him: When you marry your wife, tell her, “We are going to bring Moshiach.” Not for desires, not for the yetzer hara. The yetzer hara is forbidden—the yetzer hara is the same yetzer before the wedding and after the wedding—it remains forbidden.

Even though it is the highest yichud, bride and groom are above all intellect, above every concept—above Atzilus. Bride and groom reach all the way to Ein Sof. Because yichud is the radiance of Ein Sof: constantly receiving the radiance of the yichud of Ein Sof. Through the wedding we receive the radiance of the yichud of Ein Sof; we ascend to the yichud of Ein Sof.

On page 52 Rabbi Nasan says that the entire wedding is only in order to bring Moshiach — we want Moshiach now; we want Moshiach immediately.

And this is the matter of Gog and Magog: it was supposed to be immediately—Gog and Magog. From Eldad and Meidad until today, 3,334 years have passed. Eldad and Meidad was one year after the Exodus from Egypt, so 3,334 years have passed. For 3,334 years we have been waiting for Gog and Magog, and there is no Gog and Magog.

Gog and Magog: “Gog” is 12, “vav” is 6, and “Magog” is 52. All 70 nations want to wipe us out. They discovered that they are giving money to terrorists—everything—giving endlessly to the terrorists’ families. They are now receiving money from Germany, from England, from France.

“And behold, an olive leaf, freshly plucked, was in its mouth” (Genesis 8:11)—this is Moshiach. The whole matter is to bring Moshiach. “But I am like a flourishing olive tree in the House of God” (Psalms 52:10). The dove brought an olive leaf—this is the soul of Moshiach.

It is written, “And it came to pass after seven days” (Genesis 7:10), because Noach said that on the 10th of Cheshvan there would be a flood. But the 10th of Cheshvan arrived and they saw there was no flood at all—the sun was shining, there was no flood—so they said that Noach was a liar; they concluded that Noach was a liar. But in truth the flood did not come then, because Hashem postponed it from the 10th of Cheshvan to the 17th of Cheshvan.

After that, on the 27th, the flood stopped—so whoever is born on the 27th of Cheshvan can stop the flood.
