Hisbodedus in Devekut — The Daily Strengthening from Rabbi Berland shlit"a

In the daily strengthening, The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, describes how they would do Hisbodedus in minus 40-degree weather—yet their bodies would sweat from holy devekut, and they immersed with mesirus nefesh. Monday, 10 Nissan 5782 — these are his holy words:
"Those were the first fields—there we would do a lot of Hisbodedus."
"We would go out from 2:00 at night until the light of morning; the sky would turn blue."
"Here in Israel it isn’t Uman. In Uman it’s minus 40—we would walk and cry out to Hashem."
"And there are no watches—you don’t know when morning will come. When the sky turns blue, you go to shul."
"And in shul there’s no heating, and it’s minus 40, and everyone is dripping with sweat—at minus 40, dripping with sweat."
"They would cry out with such cries that the body would warm up, and everyone would literally be dripping with water—drops of sweat would run down from everyone, and everyone would be crying out."
"They would begin Shacharis at 5:00 in the morning and finish at 12:00 noon—the entire prayer."
"Like they tell about Rabbi Hirsch Leib Lipel, who was in the Caucasus—they went on foot to Eretz Yisrael, from the Caucasus they went on foot. He went to Eretz Yisrael three times on foot."
"And they said there is no such thing as not going to the mikveh—you must go to the mikveh every day."
