Throwing Diamonds at You -- Daily Chizzuk by Rav Eliezer Berland Shlit"a

Friday, 7 Nisan 5782

These are his holy words:

When a person merits, however much they are putting him down, however much they are making him "mah -- what" [i.e. nothing, nullified], however much they are making out of him dust and ashes, [as it's said] "and may my soul be like dust to all" (Amidah prayer) -- they are throwing diamond onto you.

The Rebbe brings in [Likutey Moharan] Torah 277, [that they are] throwing diamonds onto you.  When they are putting you down, they're throwing diamonds onto you -- don't throw them back.

[If] they insult you, and you insult them back, you've lost a diamond.  They're building a house of diamonds for you [from all the insults and put-downs].

Binyamin stole the goblet [or so his brothers accused him of, when really Yosef's servants put it in his sack in order to test the brothers.]  For this, he received murderous blows.

Every blow that Binyamin received, he received another wall in the Holy Temple.  If he had received a few more blows with love, he would have upheld the entire Temple.

For every blow that a person receives, every insult, and every humiliation, he upholds another portion of the Holy Temple.

A strip went out from the portion of Yehuda and entered the portion of Binyamin until the altar, and Binyamin the Tzaddik would concern himself every day with taking it.  [Binyamin said to himself: If only] I had received a few more blows with love...
