If the Holy Temple is Built, Israel Will Conquer the Entire World – The Daily Strengthening from the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

When a person studies Torah, he rules over the entire world – Israel rules over the entire world, the whole world fears only the Jews – The Daily Strengthening from our teacher, the Holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days).

Wednesday, 11th of Tevet, 5786 – This is what Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish said: There are three who are fierce (bold/strong): Israel among the nations, the dog among the beasts, and the rooster among the birds. And some say also the goat among the small livestock. And some say also the caper bush among the trees (Beitzah 25b).

These are his holy words:

For in truth, the People of Israel rule the world – it is written in the Gemara (Talmud) Beitzah (25b) that the ones who rule the world are the People of Israel.

The dog is the fiercest among the beasts; it barks all day. Israel are the fiercest among the nations, and if it were not for the Torah, they would have conquered the entire world.

They told Cyrus [King of Persia] that if the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) is built, Israel will conquer the entire world; therefore, do not let this happen. Then they found the permit but not the cancellation; they had already begun building the Beis HaMikdash, but then they stopped the construction for about eighteen years (Ezra 4:1-6).

Then the sons of Haman, Shimshai and all the rest, together with all the scribes who were in Samaria, wrote that now Israel is going to build the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple), and you will lose control over the world. The Jews will rule over the entire globe, all of this is stated in the Gemara (Talmud) in Beitzah.

One must know Maseches (Tractate) Beitzah by heart; Rabbi Yisrael Karduner used to finish Maseches Beitzah while walking from Tzfat. He would walk on foot from Tzfat to Meron; there were no cars yet, nor did he have a donkey; he would walk for two hours. It takes exactly two hours; we once did it running in 45 minutes.

Rabbi Yisrael Karduner would finish Maseches (Tractate) Beitzah on the way from Tzfat to Meron, and another Maseches Beitzah on the return from Meron to Tzfat. One must know Maseches Beitzah by heart; these are all the stories [contained therein].

So the Gemara (Talmud) in Beitzah says that there are three who are fierce: the rooster among the birds, the dog among the beasts, and Israel among the nations. Also, the caper bush is among the fiercest of trees; it produces four types of fruit, all of which are subject to the laws of Orlah (the prohibition against eating fruit from a tree's first three years).

The caper bush is a tree that has four types of fruit, and it is subject to Orlah—the aviyonos (caper berries) and kafrisin (caper buds). Also regarding the dog, it is said, "The hire of a harlot or the price of a dog" (Deuteronomy 23:19). If a person inherits a dog, he takes [value] against the dog; this is forbidden in inheritance – for if the Torah had not been given to Israel, no nation or tongue could stand before them.

When a person studies Torah, he rules over the entire world – Israel rules over the entire world, the whole world fears only the Jews.

Everyone fears only the Jews who rule over the entire world; the People of Israel rule over the entire world.
