NOT GOING TO THE ELECTIONS IS MORE SEVERE THAN EATING ON YOM KIPPUR!! • The Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a in a letter together with the Rabbis of the Shuvu Banim community

About two weeks ago, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), together with the Rabbinical Board of the Shuvu Banim community, wrote a letter of awakening to vote exclusively for the Agudat Yisrael party, represented by the letter 'Gimmel' (ג). Before you is the full letter along with the signatures of the Rabbis.

B"SD L"ShM | Yahrtzeit (anniversary of passing) of the Beis Yisrael (Rabbi Yisrael Alter of Gur zt"l), 2nd of Adar 5784 A LETTER CALLING FOR AN AWAKENING TO VOTE ONLY 'GIMMEL'

It is forbidden to vote for any other party except for 'Gimmel' (ג), because all the other parties are in favor of destroying and uprooting the religion. All these parties fight for public transportation on Shabbat, for trains on Shabbat, and for public desecration of Shabbat, including the opening of all shopping malls on Shabbat, Heaven forbid.

And the only party that fights for the Shabbat is only Gimmel (ג) Therefore, it is an absolute prohibition—a Torah-level prohibition (issur d'Oraisa)—to vote for other parties. And we must fulfill with simple faith the words of the Tzaddik Yesod Olam (the Tzaddik who is the foundation of the world), the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Shlomke of Zvhil zt"l (of blessed memory), who wrote that not going to the elections is more severe than eating on Yom Kippur.

How much more so for one who votes for a secular party, as he is lending a hand and providing aid and assistance to the uprooting of religion, and to returning us to the days of Terach (the era of idolatry before Abraham).

Therefore, it is a Torah-level prohibition (issur d'Oraisa) to vote for any other party except for 'Gimmel' (ג).

And also, not to vote at all is a Torah-level prohibition (issur d'Oraisa), because it lends a hand to the uprooting and destruction of the religion from the Land of Israel. With the blessing of the Torah and with great love, your faithful servant, Eliezer Berland

To further strengthen the matter, the Rabbinical Board of the Shuvu Banim community signed:

Rabbi Moshe Tzanani, Rabbi Ofer Erez, Rabbi Meir Malka, Rabbi Shmuel Stern, Rabbi Michael Gol, Rabbi Eliyahu Sukkot.

To these were added the signatures of additional Mashpi'im (spiritual mentors) and Rabbis from the Shuvu Banim community:

R' Avraham Chananya, R' Moshe Gershonowitz, R' Aharon Schwartz, R' Meir Saada.
