Parshas Matos - Prayer of the Poor: To Merit a Holy Flaming Fire

A Prayer for Holy Enthusiasm

Master of the Universe, grant us the merit that our entire heart, our thoughts, and all our senses, our 248 limbs and 365 sinews, will be set ablaze with a holy flaming fire, with flames of love, with enthusiasm.

As it is written:

"For love is as strong as death, jealousy is as hard as the grave; its flashes are flashes of fire, a flame of God."

Until we merit that this fire will consume all the *kelipos* (husks of impurity) and the *sitra achra* (forces of the other side), in such a way that we will be redeemed forever and for all eternity.
