Prayer Adar I 5779
RECOMMENDATION
A recommendation for the printing of the Passover Haggadah, featuring a compilation of commentaries from the Rav [Rabbi Berland] and his prayers that were gathered over more than fifty years. As it is said, "And the Children of Israel went up armed (chamushim - also meaning 'fifties') out of the land of Egypt"—for only one who attained the Fiftieth Gate of Holiness merited to leave the land of Egypt. Therefore, we come here bowing and prostrating before each and every one, and before all the precious and beloved people of Israel, asking you to donate generously for the printing of the Passover Haggadah, its commentaries, and the prayers of Rabbi Berland shlit"a, which were compiled and edited over more than fifty years. Now, we have merited this year to publish it for the joy of all the Jewish people and seekers of truth, who wish to understand the meaning of the Haggadah through the illuminating lens of face-to-face revelation. As it is said, "Hashem spoke with you face to face," and in this Haggadah, one feels Hashem face to face, literally seeing Hashem, His miracles, and His wonders at every single moment and second. For whoever donates, it will be as the verse says: "As in the days of your exodus from the land of Egypt, I will show him wonders."
With the blessing of the holy and pure Torah,
And in the merit of our holy and awesome Rebbe [Rebbe Nachman],
Your faithful servant,
Eliezer Berland
To merit hearing the song of the trees and for the rectification of the heel where Yaakov holds onto Esav
Before the Blessing of the Trees (Birchas HaIlanos)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to hear the song of the trees, and the song of the angel that has 1,000 heads, and every head has 1,000 mouths, and every mouth has a thousand voices, and every voice has a thousand melodies. Regarding this it is said, "The meadows are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing" (Psalms 65:14). When do the stalks of grain sing? In Nissan! Rashi explains, "they shout for joy, they also sing" in Nissan—when the time of the harvest arrives in Nissan, and the wind blows through the stalks, the stalks knock against one another and appear as if they are singing a song. For according to Rabbi Yehoshua, Adam the First was told on the 1st of Nissan, "From every tree of the garden you may surely eat," and Eve squeezed grapes and gave them to him. For "grapes" (עֲנָבִים) has the same Gematria as "heel" (עָקֵב), and grapes are pressed by the heel. Yaakov, through the letter Yud, rectifies the heel (Ekev), and therefore his hand holds onto the heel of Esav.
Blessed are You, Hashem, our God, King of the universe, who has made nothing lacking in His world, and created in it goodly creatures and goodly trees, to give pleasure to mankind.
To merit, at the time I am going to kasher vessels, to have the intention to kasher and cleanse my soul, and that by learning with infinite warmth, all the grip of the evil inclination will be nullified and expelled from me, and I will spare no time or effort for the kashering of vessels
Prayer before Kashering Vessels (Hagalas Kelim)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit from now, at the hour I am going to kasher vessels, to have the intention to kasher my soul from all filth and contamination. May I merit to return in complete teshuvah (repentance), and to sing all day the song, "Fortunate is the man who does not forget You, and the son of man who strengthens himself in You; fortunate is the man whose strength is in You." Through this, may I merit teshuvah out of love, and all my sins will be transformed into merits through the kashering of vessels, as all the vessels will ascend from chametz (leaven) to matzah, which is the rectification of all sins. Through this, may I merit to kasher and cleanse my soul completely from every dross and blemish, and no sin will interpose between me and the Light of the Ein Sof (Infinite). For at the moment a vessel expels, it does not absorb; therefore, it is impossible for there to be transgressions at the moment they are being transformed into merits. This is what confuses the Samael (the prosecuting angel) on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, at the hour the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies, and through his Vidui (confession prayers), all the sins of Israel are transformed into merits, which confuses the Satan. So too, on the festival of Passover, the Sitra Achra (Other Side/forces of evil) will be given over to be trampled under the soles of the feet of holiness. For through the heat of the water used for kashering vessels, the grip of the Kelipos (impure husks) and the grip of the evil inclination are nullified from a person—the very inclination that defiles him, causes him to sin, and weakens him in the service of Hashem all year round. Therefore, one must first expel all the sins and transform them into merits, and afterward, the expelled matter mixes with the boiling water and is completely nullified by the boiling water inside the cauldron. This is the most important lesson: to always learn with infinite warmth for Hashem, and to spare neither time nor effort for the mitzvah of kashering vessels, both spiritually and physically, so that all our evil will be expelled outward and will not blemish our inner essence. May we merit to be pure and holy for His service, may He be blessed, for all eternity.
To merit cleaning and purifying my heart from any trace of chametz and blemish, and to have the intention that I am purifying and cleaning the Supernal House where the root of the Cherubim and the root of the Holy Temple reside, and to draw down loving-kindness for the entire year
Prayer for men and women before cleaning the house from chametz
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, from whom no purpose can be withheld, grant me the merit to clean and purify my heart during the time of cleaning out the chametz. Please, Hashem, grant me the merit, at the hour I am cleaning the house from chametz, to clean and purify my heart from all kinds of chametz waste that still exist in my heart. May I emerge from all kinds of waste from my blemishes of the Covenant, until I am completely purified. Please, Hashem, grant me the merit during the cleaning of the house from chametz, to refine and purify my heart from all kinds of waste of contamination, chametz, and blemishes of the Covenant. May I merit, during the cleaning of the house from chametz, to hear anew all the Ten Commandments, just as at the time of the Giving of the Torah. Fulfill in me the verse, "I will wash my hands in purity, and I will encompass Your altar, Hashem." May the verse be fulfilled in me, "And you shall say, it is a Passover sacrifice to Hashem." May I always wash my hands, and intend during the washing to purify the supernal palms, and to purify the supernal hands, where the Chesed (Loving-kindness) and Gevurah (Severity) of Adam Kadmon (Primordial Man) reside. May I purify, during the time of cleaning the house from chametz, all the 248 supernal limbs and 365 supernal sinews of Adam Kadmon. May I merit, at the hour I am purifying the house, to have the intention to purify the Supernal House, where the root of the Supernal Holy Temple resides, and where the root of the Cherubim is, which are the ultimate purpose of heaven and earth, the ultimate purpose of the Supernal Holy Temple. Through the washing of the hands with water, we draw down the supernal waters of Chesed from the right hand of Adam Kadmon, from where all the loving-kindnesses for the entire year are drawn down, to every single detail, to every single person, to every man and woman, and to every boy and girl.
To merit being like and learning from the righteous women who believed with every breath that there would be miracles and wonders, and went out with tambourines and dances
Prayer in the merit of the righteous women who went out dancing and beating tambourines
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to be like the righteous women who went out at the Song of the Sea with songs, dances, and the beating of tambourines. For the righteous women believed that at every step and stride, and with every single breath, there would be miracles and wonders without end and without limit. Therefore, only the women took tambourines with them, and not the men.
To merit on the night of the fourteenth to receive all the lights of Passover just like on the night of Zachor Bris, and to eradicate from myself all physical and spiritual chametz so that no trace of them remains at all
Prayer before Bedikas Chametz (Checking for Chametz)
Master of the Universe, on the night of the fourteenth we check for chametz. Grant me the merit, O Merciful and Gracious One, on the night of the fourteenth which is called 'Or' (Light), to receive all the lights of the Seder night. For one who merits receives all the lights already on the night of checking for chametz, just like on the night of Zachor Bris (the night before a circumcision), when one already receives the lights of Rosh Hashanah, at the hour he clears his heart from the entire world, from all types and shades of chametz that are in the holes and cracks of his heart. Please, Hashem, grant me the merit already on the night of the fourteenth to receive all the lights of the Seder night and of the entire Passover, the lights of the Gadlus (expanded consciousness) of the second stage of Abba (the supernal Partzuf of Father), which illuminate on the Seder night. May I merit, Hashem is One, to nullify and eradicate all types of physical and spiritual chametz, and let no memory or trace of the physical chametz or the spiritual chametz remain within me.
To merit subduing the evil inclination, the enemies, and all haters of Israel, and to know that the reward of the tzaddikim is in the Future to Come
Before Bedikas Chametz
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit through the checking for chametz to subdue all the enemies of Israel, and all the haters, and all the foes. Please, Hashem is One (1), fulfill in us the verse: "He will subdue (יַדְבֵּר 216) peoples (עַמִּים 160) under us (תַּחְתֵּינוּ 874), and nations (וּלְאוּמִּים 133) under (תַּחַת 808) our feet (רַגְלֵינוּ 299)" = 2491. May we merit, Hashem is One, in the merit of checking for chametz to subdue the evil inclination which is called chametz, as it is said, 'Who is (אֵיזֶהוּ 29) a hero (גִבּוֹר 211)? He who conquers (הַכּוֹבֵשׁ 333) his (אֶת 401) inclination (יִצְרוֹ 306)', as it is said (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר 591), "Better (טוֹב 17) is one who is slow (אֶרֶךְ 221) to anger (אַפַּיִם 131) than a hero (מִגִּבּוֹר 251)" = 2491, "and he who rules his spirit than he who captures a city." And may I know in the merit of checking for chametz, 'that the giving (שֶׁמַּתַּן 790) of the reward (שְׂכָרָן 570) of (שֶׁל 330) the tzaddikim (צַדִּיקִים 154) is in the future (לֶעָתִיד 514) to come (לָבֹא 33)' = 2491.
To merit at the time of burning the chametz to burn away from myself all types of chametz and to be pure and clear like the High Priest who would enter on Yom Kippur
Before Sreifas Chametz (Burning the Chametz)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, from whom no purpose can be withheld, grant me the merit at the time of burning the chametz, to burn away from myself all types of chametz. May I merit to eradicate all kinds and types of chametz that are in my heart, both the physical chametz and all types of spiritual chametz. Please, Hashem, grant me the merit at the hour of burning the chametz to be pure and clear, like the High Priest when he entered the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur. May I merit to hear the sound of the Great Shofar, the Shofar of the Geulah (Redemption), the right horn of the ram of Yitzchak.
To merit in the merit of burning the chametz an abundance of sons and daughters, guarding and protection from all evil, and nachas (joy) from all our toil
Before Sreifas Chametz
Master of the Universe, in the merit of burning (שְׂרֵיפַת 990) chametz (חָמֵץ 138) = 1128, grant me the merit in the merit of burning chametz (138), for the revelation of Mashiach (מָשִׁיחַ 358) ben (בֶּן 52) Yosef (יוֹסֵף 156), Mashiach (מָשִׁיחַ 358) ben (בֶּן 52) David (דָּוִד 14) = 1128. In this merit, we crossed the Reed Sea immediately after the burning of the chametz, as it is said, "The depths (תְהוֹמוֹת 857) congealed (קָפְאוּ 187) in the heart (בְּלֶב 34) of the sea (יָם 50)" = 1128. In the merit of burning the chametz, which is the burning of the evil inclination, may we merit an abundance of sons and daughters, as it is said, "And the number (מִסְפַּר 380) of the Children (בְּנֵי 380) of Israel (יִשְׂרָאֵל 541) shall be (וְהָיָה 26) like the sand (כְּחוֹל 64) of the sea (הַיָּם 55)" = 1128. Through this, You will guard our going out (צֵאתֵנוּ 547) and our coming in (וּבוֹאֵנוּ 71) for life (לְחַיִּים 98) and for peace (וּלְשָׁלוֹם 412) = 1128, from now and forevermore. "Those who sow (וְהַזֹּרְעִים 338) in tears (בְּדִמְעָה 121) will reap (יִקְצוֹרוּ 412) with joyous song (בְּרִנָּה 257)" = 1128.
To merit being sanctified and purified like our holy and awesome Rebbe, to burn all the evil within us, to merit hearing the sound of the Great Shofar, for the building of Jerusalem the Holy City, and for the Holy Temple of fire from Heaven
Prayer before Sreifas Chametz
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit, Hashem may He be blessed, the Omnipotent One, to be sanctified and purified in the ultimate holiness and purity, like our holy and awesome Rebbe, Rebbe Nachman ben Simcha ben Feiga. May we merit, Hashem may He be blessed, right now at the hour of burning the chametz, to burn all the evil that is within us. In the merit of burning the chametz, may I merit to ascend to the Nukva d'Pardashka (the hollow of the nose of the Divine Partzuf), the right nostril, from where the life of lives flows, and from where the breath of life of the Resurrection of the Dead is drawn down to the entire world. May the verse be fulfilled in us, in the merit of burning the chametz {Kings I 4:20}, "Eating (אֹכְלִים 101), drinking (שׁוֹתִים 716), and rejoicing (וּשְׂמֵחִים 764)" = 1581 (Note: Gematria calculation adjusted to match text context). The secret of the blowing (תְּקִיעַת 980) of the Shofar (הַשּׁוֹפָר 591) = 1571. The secret of "Which You swore (אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתָּ 822) to our forefathers (לַאֲבוֹתֵינוּ 505) from the days (מִימֵי 100) of old (קֶדֶם 144)" = 1571. The secret of Jerusalem, for (כִּי 30) Jerusalem (יְרוּשָׁלַיִם 596) is called (נִקְרֵאת 751) the City of Righteousness (עִיר הַ-צֶּדֶק 194) = 1571. For through the burning of the chametz, we merit to hear the sound of the Great Shofar, and through this we will merit the building of Jerusalem the Holy City, and the descent of the Holy Temple of fire from Heaven. Then we will merit from the Netzach (מִנֶצַח 188) that is in Tiferes (שֶׁבְּתִפְאֶרֶת 1383) = 1571.
To merit running to Moshe Rabbeinu, who is absolute nothingness, and who calls and draws us to Hashem at every moment
"Parshas Shmini" "Seder Night"
"And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moshe called Aharon and his sons, and the elders of Israel." Rebbe Nachman explains in Torah 70, that all the elders with Moshe and Aharon, all of them came on their own, and were drawn on their own to Moshe, who was in the aspect of absolute Ayin (nothingness), the absolute zero. For Moshe is in the aspect of the "Hiyuli" (primordial matter) that includes everything, yet he himself is not seen, and cannot be grasped by any sense in the world. Moshe calls to everyone, and draws all of Israel to the Tent of Meeting to Hashem, for today Hashem has appeared to you. This is hinted at regarding Passover, which falls in a regular (non-leap) year on Parshas "Shmini", for then is the revelation of Hashem in perfection. Because on Passover a completely new year begins, as it is said, "This month shall be for you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year for you." For on Passover we ascend to the Fiftieth Gate, as it is said, "And the Children of Israel went up armed (chamushim/fifties) out of the land of Egypt." Therefore, may Hashem our God and the God of our forefathers help us, that on this Parshas "Shmini", we will merit the aspect of 'today Hashem has appeared to you', by Moshe, who is the true Tzaddik, calling to us, to all the elders of Israel, and to the entire Jewish people.
To merit in the merit of the matzohs I will eat on Seder night to be included in all 3 levels of the tzaddikim who serve Hashem with self-sacrifice, to subdue all the chariots of Pharaoh, and to merit remembering and knowing that everyone must go through some sorrow and bitterness which comes to atone for sins of previous incarnations, and by the power of eating the matzohs with the maror and charoset, we sweeten all the bitterness in the world
Prayer over the entire order of the Seder Plate (Kearah)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, in the merit of the three matzohs that I will eat on Seder night, may I merit to subdue all the armies of Pharaoh, and all the chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen, which are three levels of enemies. The First Matzah: Corresponding to all the chariots of Pharaoh, which are the most elite chariots, primarily fit for Pharaoh himself to ride upon. The Second Matzah: Corresponding to all the armies of Pharaoh, which are the foot soldiers. The Third Matzah: Corresponding to all the horsemen of Pharaoh riding on horses at about two hundred kilometers per hour, reaching all the edges of Pharaoh's kingdom within a few hours. Through eating the three matzohs, we merit to subdue all the types of Pharaoh's armies, from the most select called the chariots of Pharaoh, fit primarily and exclusively for Pharaoh to ride upon, down to the foot soldiers who are also counted among the firstborn of the captive and the firstborn of the maidservant. In this merit, may we merit all three types of serving Hashem: those who conduct themselves like horses and do not sleep at all, but only gallop all day in the service of Hashem day and night, like King David, who would sleep only like a horse, sixty breaths in a twenty-four hour period. So too, may we merit through eating the matzah to be servants of Hashem, likened to horse riders who do not sleep at all, but rather study Torah in depth and interpret the Torah according to its laws. Corresponding to these three types of servants of Hashem are the three matzohs: corresponding to the horsemen, corresponding to the horses, and corresponding to Pharaoh's horse, which are the most select, and never sleep out of their immense desire and clinging to the service of Hashem day and night. So too, grant us the merit to serve Hashem day and night relentlessly and without any rest at all, as it is said of the tribe of Yissachar, "Yissachar is a strong-boned donkey, resting between the boundaries," who never slept. The Zeroa (Shank bone): Corresponding to the outstretched arm of Hashem, which is stretched out over all the nations that hate Israel, to destroy them, annihilate them, and eradicate them from the world. The Beitzah (Egg): Corresponding to the birth of the Jewish people, for then the Jewish people were born and became a nation, like on Seder night, like the chick and the chicken that emerge from the egg without birth pangs and without any pain at all. The Maror (Bitter herbs): Corresponding to the bitterness that each and every one must go through day by day, as it is said in Torah 77 Part II, 'that a strap would go out from the portion of Judah and enter the portion of Benjamin, and over this Benjamin would agonize every single day all day long.' For each and every one must go through some bitterness in order to atone for the sin of Adam the First, the sins of the generation of Enosh, the sins of Sodom, the sins of the Flood, and the sins of the Dispersion. These are hinted at in the acronym of "I melt my bed with my tears" (בְּדִמְעָתִי עַרְסִי אַמְסֶה): א- Enosh, מ- Mabul (Flood), ס- Sodom, ה- HaPalagah (Dispersion). Through eating the three matzohs with the maror, we atone for all these four generations. And by dipping the maror in the charoset, we sweeten all the bitterness through the study of Torah, which is called Chas-Rus (Charoset). For Ruth symbolizes the study of Torah day (יוֹמָם 96) and night (וָלַיְלָה 81) = 177, as she followed Naomi, who symbolizes the pleasantness (Ne'imus) of the Torah with true self-sacrifice, and said, "Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried." For she truly sacrificed her life for the Torah day and night without sleep or food, which is the greatest merit of Ruth, through which she merited that the King Mashiach would descend from her. Therefore, in the merit of eating the three matzohs with maror and charoset, may we too merit to sacrifice our lives for the holy Torah, and through this may we also merit that the King Mashiach will emerge from us, and build the Holy Temple of fire speedily in our days, Amen, Netzach, Selah, V'ed. Karpas: Hints at the royal garments which are called Karpas, and also to making do with little, which is called Yerek (greens/vegetables), which is called Karpas. This symbolizes truly and innocently making do with little, that a person takes from the matters of this world no more than the absolute minimum. This is the secret of white garments, as it is said, "Let your garments always be white, and let your head lack no oil." That at all times your garments should be white, and at every moment we should remember the day of death, when we are dressed in shrouds which are white garments. The secret of the Chazeres: Which is the most bitter of all Chazeres (lettuce), from the root word 'to return' (Lachazor) to one's Torah study, which is the hardest thing of all. For it is harder to review old material than to learn new material. Therefore, Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant us the merit in the merit of eating the Chazeres, to always review our learning, as it is said, 'Greater is the one who learns and reviews 101 times than the one who learns 100 times.' As it is said, "Then you shall return and see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who serves Him not." "Him who serves God" refers to one who learns and reviews 101 times, and "him who serves Him not" refers to one who learns only 100 times. Therefore, grant us the merit, in the merit of eating the Chazeres, to study the Torah at least one hundred and one times, every single thing. Through this, the verse will be fulfilled in us, "There He broke the fiery shafts of the bow," and we will merit the flashes and sparks of fire of Torah study. We will merit to be thrown upon the Torah, as it is said in Torah 5, 'They threw him to the bank,' that they merited to be thrown onto the shore like the Leviathan, which merited to be thrown onto a safe shore, which is the holy Torah. So too, may we merit to be thrown onto a safe shore, which is the holy Torah.
To merit on all Seder nights to distribute roasted grains and nuts, and just as the nut's shell protects it, so may we always be clean and pure and baked in the heart of the Tzaddik, and may we be awake on Seder night with an expanded mind and without any disputes, and may everything go in order and properly
Prayer for distributing roasted grains and nuts to the children on Seder night
Master of the Universe, grant me the merit on every Seder night of all the days of my life, to distribute roasted grains and nuts to my children, and to the children of the entire Jewish people who are likened to fish, as it is said, "And let them multiply like fish in the midst of the earth." Therefore, Yehoshua bin Nun, who conquered the Land in honor of the festival of Passover, is called a fish, as he is called Yehoshua bin Nun (Nun = fish in Aramaic). For the entire Jewish people are likened to fish, over which the evil eye has no power. Therefore, only the Jewish people, who are likened to fish, merit the Seder night, when they merit the inheritance of the Land like Yehoshua bin Nun. Therefore, they merit nuts and to be called a nut, as it is said, "I went down to the nut garden." For they are likened to a nut garden, which never gets dirty and no contamination takes hold of it because of its hard shell that protects it from all contamination, from every plague and illness, and from every dross and blemish. Therefore, the Jewish people are likened to nuts, upon which no impurity takes hold. That is why we distribute nuts to the infants and children, to hint to them that they should always be clean, holy, and pure from any grip of dross and blemish. And roasted grains (Klayos), to hint to them to be baked (roasted) in the heart of the Tzaddik, and in the heart of the Holy One, Blessed be He, so that we will always be favorable to Hashem, may He be blessed, in the aspect of "Nirtzah" (Accepted) which we say at the conclusion of the Seder night, after having completed the Passover Seder according to its laws. So too, may Hashem grant us the merit to be awake every Seder night until the morning, and to conduct the Seder night with an expanded mind. Let there be no dispute on Seder night, between a man and his friend, or between a woman and her friend, but rather everything should go in order and properly, and everything that is out of order will be transformed into order.
To merit being included in the 4 expressions of Redemption and also in the 5th expression, to be saved from chametz on Passover, to know that Hashem is God, and to completely nullify the impurity and husk of the donkey from oneself in the merit and power of Samson the hero
4 Expressions of Redemption
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to be included in the four expressions of Redemption: "I will bring out," "I will save," "I will redeem," and "I will take," and also in the fifth expression of "I will bring," which corresponds to the fifth cup of Elijah the Prophet, which hints at the complete Redemption through Mashiach ben David, and to the Holy Temple of fire, which will descend from Heaven speedily in our days, Amen, Netzach, Selah, V'ed. For through the four expressions of Redemption, which are five expressions, which correspond to the one who betrothed five women, and among them were two sisters who ruined everything, and he did everything with a basket of figs, which has the Gematria of Mordechai and Esther, Mattisyahu and his sons, who were in the secret of the reincarnation of Mordechai and Esther. Therefore, they were able to draw the miracles of Purim also to Chanukah, which was about three hundred years later. For Purim is a preparation for Passover, and according to the joy on Purim, one merits to be saved from chametz on Passover, and to know that "Hashem is God, Hashem is God." For in order to be saved from chametz on Passover, even the slightest amount, we need the joy of Purim. Through the joy of Purim, we merit to erase the memory of Amalek from under the heavens, so that no memory of him remains in the world at all. This includes all the Nazis who want to destroy every good portion, and every bit of good. But through the four expressions of Redemption, we merit the immediate complete Redemption, with the Holy Temple of fire, and with Mashiach ben David. Therefore, we are obligated to redeem a firstborn son, and the firstborn of an impure animal, as Hashem said, "For every firstborn in Israel is Mine," and every firstborn of an impure animal you shall redeem with a lamb, "and if you do not redeem it, you shall break its neck." For a person must completely nullify the impurity of the donkey from himself, just as Samson the hero merited, who said, with the jawbone of a donkey, "a heap, two heaps (chamor chamoratayim), I have struck down a thousand men," and from then on the fear of the Philistines ceased from upon Israel for 40 years.
Through the Kiddush we sweeten the Plague of Blood and see the face of Hashem
Teaching on "Kadesh"
For through the Kiddush we ascend to Atika Kadisha (the Holy Ancient One), in the secret of "And the nursing child shall play by the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the viper's den." For through the Kiddush, the 370 myriad lights that were taken from Eve return, and the Name Sa"g illuminates in the seven Sefiros of Imma Ila'ah (the Supernal Mother), which has the Gematria of Emet (Truth). For through the Kiddush, the Holy Temple of fire descends, which is the Third Temple, and there is a unification between Havayah and Ekyeh, for Ekyeh X Ekyeh is Emet. For through the Kiddush that is made on the 15th of Nissan, which is when the Plague of Blood began according to Tractate Eduyot, through the Kiddush we sweeten the Plague of Blood, and we literally see the face of Hashem. For Passover is in Malchus, Shavuos is in Binah, and Sukkos is the secret of Atika Kadisha, from where the Clouds of Glory are drawn down to protect each and every one. For after the Seventh Day of Passover, on the night of the 23rd of Nissan this year, when the Tekufah (season) of Nissan begins according to Rav Shmuel, everything is drawn from the illumination of the Kiddush of the Seder night, when we ascend to Atika Kadisha, and from there we draw down anew all the 370 myriad lights that were taken from Eve. For on the Festivals we merit to see the illumination of the face of Hashem, which is the illumination of Atika Kadisha.
To merit the holiness of our holy and awesome Rebbe and to merit alacrity and wealth
Prayer before "Kadesh"
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, "Kadesh" "Urchatz", grant me the merit to be holy with the holiness of our holy and awesome Rebbe. Through this, the essence (עֶצֶם 200) of the soul of (נִשְׁמַת 790) our Rebbe (רַבֵּינוּ 268) the holy (הַקָּדוֹשׁ 415) and awesome (וְהַנּוֹרָא 268) = 1941 will become impregnated within me. Through this, I will merit to fulfill the saying, 'Rabbi Yehuda ben Teima says, Be bold (הֱוֵי עַז 77) as a leopard (כַּנָּמֵר 310), light (קַל 130) as an eagle (כַּנֶּשֶׁר 570), fleet (רָץ 290) as a deer (כַּצְּבִי 122), and strong (גִּבּוֹר 211) as a lion (כַּאֲרִי 231)' = 1941. And through this I will merit wealth, which is drawn down by Elijah (אֵלִיָּהוּ 52) the Prophet (הַנָּבִיא 68) remembered (זָכוּר 233) for good (לַטּוֹב 47) = 400, who was pure (טְהוֹר 220) of eyes (עֵינַיִם 180) = 400. As it is said, "The jar (כַּד 24) of flour (הַקֶּמַח 153) was not (לֹא 31) consumed (כָלְתָה 455), and the jug (וְצַפַּחַת 584) of oil (הַשֶּׁמֶן 395) did not (לֹא 31) lack (חָסֵר 268)" = 1941.
To merit being sanctified and purified, and that through the Kiddush all the worlds will be sanctified, and we will be enveloped in the supernal holiness of the Fiftieth Gate
Kadesh, Urchatz, Karpas, Yachatz, Maggid, Rachtzah, Motzi, Matzah, Maror, Korech, Shulchan Orech, Tzafun, Barech, Hallel, Nirtzah
"Kadesh Urchatz" - the first thing we do is the Kiddush of the day, to proclaim the holiness of the day. For when we make Kiddush over a cup of wine for the sanctification of the day, all the worlds in this world and the next are sanctified, and we are enveloped in the supernal of supernal holiness of the Fiftieth Gate, as it is said, "And the Children of Israel went up armed (chamushim/fifties) out of the land of Egypt."
To merit through Kadesh to ascend above Atzilus, to sanctify the hands and emerge from any trace of impurity, and on Seder night to be included in the Ein Sof of the World of Atzilus, and to be included in the souls of the holy Forefathers and King David who protect the Ark which is the supernal protection
Prayer for Kadesh
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit through "Kadesh" to ascend above Atzilus, and may I merit to ascend to the Yesod of the Nukva of Arich Anpin, where the Da'as of Zeir Anpin resides. For the entire contraction (Tzimtzum) began in the Malchus of Adam Kadmon, where the root of Atika Kadisha of Atzilus is. As it is said, "And the ark (וַתֵּלֶךְ = 456) floated on the face of the waters." 'Vateilech' (And it floated) has the Gematria of Avraham Yitzchak = 456, for in the merit of Avraham and Yitzchak the ark had existence, which is the root of the soul of King David, peace be upon him. For in this Atika there is no left side, and everything is the right side. This is the secret of "And to peace there is no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to increase the authority and for peace without end." For everything begins from the right nostril of the nose of Atik, called Nukva d'Pardashka. For from the right side, called the male aspect, comes the life of lives, the breath of the Resurrection of the Dead. And from the left nostril, called the female aspect, from there is drawn the breath of life of Mashiach ben David. And everything is through sanctifying the hands, for the Holy Throne is in the secret of the nose, the right nostril, from where the rectification of all souls comes through Kadesh, the washing of the hands from all impurity and trace of impurity. For on Seder night we must be pure from all impurity, and trace of impurity, even God forbid the slightest amount of impurity. For chametz is forbidden in the slightest amount, and the circumcision of his slaves prevents one from eating the Passover sacrifice, how much more so if there is, God forbid, a trace of impurity, which is the greatest disaster that can ruin and nullify the Passover sacrifice and the entire Seder night. Therefore, we open the Seder night with "Kadesh Urchatz", and afterward "Karpas Yachatz". For through the Kiddush of the Seder night we are included in the Ein Sof of the World of Atzilus, which the Karpas hints at, for the garments of Karpas are the royal garments of Arich Anpin, which is the root of the Ein Sof.
Prayer for Seder Night to Sanctify (Kadesh)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit, O Merciful Father, on Seder night, when the order (Seder) for the entire year is established, and then the sin of the Tree of Knowledge is completely atoned for. All four cups that we drink, especially the first cup of Kadesh, are a true rectification for the Preserved Wine that Adam the First drank on the first day of his creation. For this wine of Kadesh is the true aspect of the Preserved Wine that Adam the First drank on the 1st of Nissan of the creation of the world, according to Rabbi Yehoshua, who says the angels poured it for Adam. And the wine of Kadesh of the Seder night is literally the Preserved Wine that Adam the First drank on the 1st of Nissan, the first year of the creation of the world, for according to Rabbi Yehoshua, whose view is the accepted Halacha, this is literally the Preserved Wine that Adam the First drank on the 1st of Nissan. All the actions that we do on Seder night are the exact actions to atone for the sin of the Tree of Knowledge, for the eating before the proper time at 10:00 on the first day of the creation of man. For on Seder night, through the first cup of Kadesh, we ascend to the Nukva d'Pardashka of the right nostril of Atika Kadisha, from where comes life and the life of lives, which is the breath of the Resurrection of the Dead, with which Hashem will revive all the dead. Therefore, the Haftarah for the first day of Passover is read about the Resurrection of the Dead from Ezekiel chapter 37: "Then He said to me, 'Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath {corresponding to the 4 cups}, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. Then He said to me, 'Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off. Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O My people. And I will bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am Hashem, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O My people. And I will put My Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am Hashem; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares Hashem.'"
The secret of washing hands on Seder night "Urchatz" and to believe that Hashem is God, there is none else besides Him
"Urchatz"
For the sake of the unification of the Holy One, Blessed be He, and His Shechinah (Divine Presence), grant me the merit of the holiness of "Urchatz", when we ascend to Adam Kadmon of Adam Kadmon, which is the secret of infinite trust in Hashem, may He be blessed, the Infinite One. For through "Urchatz", we merit to unify all the worlds: Adam Kadmon with Atika Kadisha, with Arich Anpin, and Arich Anpin with Abba and Imma, and Abba and Imma with Zeir Anpin, and Zeir Anpin with Malchus. For through "Urchatz" we merit the Light of the Ein Sof, for through "Urchatz" infinite mercy is drawn down, in the secret of "Hashem is God, Hashem is God," "For in the heavens above and on the earth below, there is none else." For through "Urchatz", we merit to know that He is God, there is none else. For the King, Hashem, is the aspect of the Light of the Ein Sof, which is in the circle above, which is in the heavens above, as it is said, "Behold, there is a place with Me." For through "Urchatz", we merit "Behold, there is a place with Me," we merit the faithful place. For Makom (Place) = 186 (Yud 10 X 10 = 100, Heh 5 X 5 = 25, Vav 6 X 6 = 36, Heh 5 X 5 = 25), which is "Behold, there is a place with Me, Yud 20 X Yud 20 = 400, Heh 15 X Heh 15 = 225, Vav X Vav = 484, Heh 15 X Heh 15 = 225 = 1334. Regarding this it is said, "Those who delight in it (מְעַנְּגֶיהָ 178) forever (לְעוֹלָם 176) will inherit (יִנְחָלוּ 104) glory (כָּבוֹד 32). Those who taste it (טוֹעֲמֶיהָ 140) merit (זָכוּ 33) life (חַיִּים 68). And also (וְגַם 49) those who love (הָאוֹהֲבִים 69) its words (דְּבָרֶיהָ 221) have chosen (בָּחָרוּ 216) greatness (גְּדוּלָּה 48)" = 1334. And through this, "And the anointing (מִשְׁחַת 748) oil (וְ-שֶׁמֶן 390) of Hashem (ה' 26) is upon you (עֲלֵיכֶם 170)" = 1334. And through this, through "Urchatz", we will merit the joy (שִׂמְחַת 748) of Jerusalem (יְרוּשָׁלַיִם 596) = 1334. For the waters of the washing are drawn from the river poured out from Eden, which is drawn from under the Tree of Life, in the secret of "Ayelet HaShachar" (the morning star), in the secret of a poured river is their foundation. For the river that goes out of Eden is the drawing down from the Yesod of Abba, and this is the secret of the water of the washing on Seder night.
To merit during Urchatz to cleanse my soul from all impurity and filth, and to know that it is possible to revive all the dead in the world, and to receive a completely new spirit of purity that has not existed since the days of the world
Prayer for 'Urchatz'
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, from whom no purpose can be withheld, grant me the merit to fulfill the mitzvah of Urchatz on the first Seder night for the people of the Land of Israel. For already during 'Urchatz' we ascend to the Nukva d'Pardashka, the right nostril, from where the breath of the Resurrection of the Dead comes. For through Urchatz it is possible to revive all the dead in the world, especially during the descent of the rains, which is the time of the Resurrection of the Dead. For through Urchatz it is possible to revive all the dead in the world, and to draw upon them all the spirit of life, and the spirit of the life of lives, to the point that it is possible through Urchatz to revive all the dead in the world—whoever merits to truly intend to wash his soul from all contamination and filth, until his soul is completely clear and pure from all waste. Then he will be able to revive all the dead, and to draw upon them all a completely new spirit of life, especially on Seder night, during the time of Urchatz. For then a completely new spirit of purity descends that has never existed before, and there has not been such a spirit of purity since the creation of the world. Only now, during the time of Urchatz, does each and every one receive this spirit of purity, when he washes his hands during Urchatz, and then a completely, completely new spirit of purity descends upon him, which has not been upon him since the days of the world.
The secret of the revelation of eating the Karpas, to merit the precious light of the seven days, and to drown all the chariots of Pharaoh and his armies
Before eating the Karpas
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, through Karpas the hidden light is revealed, the light of the seven days, from where the garments of Karpas are drawn—fine linen, and blue, and purple, and a great crown of gold. For Karpas is hinted at in the word "Vayikra" (And He called), which is usually read about two weeks before Passover. For Karpas is hinted at in the words "Or Yarak" (green light), which is "Or Yakar" (precious light), the light of the seven days, and the hidden light that is hidden in the leaves of vegetables. Therefore, Hezekiah King of Judah, who planted a sword at the entrance of the study hall and said that anyone who does not study Torah will be pierced by the sword, ate only vegetable leaves at every meal, for there the hidden light is hidden, the light of the seven days that is hidden in the cleft of the rock, where only Moshe and Elijah entered. Moshe after he fasted 120 days, and Elijah after he fasted forty days, and walked from Beersheba to Mount Sinai for forty days. For through eating the Karpas on Seder night, we ascend to Adam Kadmon of Adam Kadmon, the secret of the ancient river, the river Kishon, the secret of "The river Kishon swept them away." For the secret of the Karpas, which is the Kesser (Crown) of Adam Kadmon, is the secret of the river Kishon, the ancient river, which is drawn from the Kesser of Adam Kadmon, which swept away all the nine hundred chariots of iron. In the secret of what Solomon said, "I will climb the palm tree, I will take hold of its branches." For the secret of "the palm tree" (b'tamar), says the 'Megaleh Amukos' Ofan 87, "is the secret of the nine hundred chariots of iron that she merited twice as much as Moshe," because the soul of Moshe became impregnated within her, and through this she drowned 900 chariots, whereas Moshe drowned only 600 chariots. For through the Karpas we drown all the chariots of Pharaoh and Sisera, and all the new chariots that are renewed day by day, hour by hour, and every new moment and second. For the Karpas was formed by the six hundred thousand who worked with crushing labor, and through this they drew the Light of the Ein Sof into the vegetable leaves, for this is the only thing the Egyptians gave them. And every time a person goes through suffering and accepts it with love, which is the secret of the Karpas, he draws that same light into the food he eats. This is the secret of "One golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense," which we read twelve times before Seder night, which is the preparation for eating the Karpas. For through eating the Karpas, a "great crown of gold" is drawn down, which was set with precious stones and pearls, in the twelve stones of the Breastplate: Tarshish, Shoham, and Yashfeh; Leshem, Shvo, and Achlamah; Nofech, Sapir, and Yahalom; Odem, Pitdah, Barekes; and all the stones of crystal, and antimony, rubies, and carbuncles, crystal, diamond, and Karpas, which was a precious stone that illuminated at the feast of Ahasuerus. All of this is drawn down by eating the Karpas with true intention, to draw down the Light of the Ein Sof hidden in the cleft of the rock, where the hidden light is hidden, the light of the seven days hidden in the leaves of the Karpas, and other vegetables that we eat instead of Karpas. For through the Karpas, and through the decree that Pharaoh said, "You are lazy, you are lazy!" For "The lazy one says, 'There is a lion outside; I shall be murdered in the streets'" {Proverbs 22:13}. For every time a person goes outside to the streets of the city, he is immediately murdered by forbidden sights, and forbidden and impure thoughts. Therefore, the eating of the Karpas comes to atone for all this, and to remove the person from all the evil and impure thoughts, and to dress him in fine apparel, in garments of Karpas, silver and gold, and blue and purple, and scarlet, which are the garments drawn from holy and pure thoughts, which are drawn down through eating the Karpas.
To merit in the merit of eating the Karpas to receive attainments from the Fiftieth Gate, to sweeten all the judgments from the Pa"R (280 judgments), to elevate all the sparks to their place, and through eating the Karpas we elevate it from animal food to human food to the Fiftieth Gate
Prayer for Karpas
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit in the merit of eating the Karpas, "for garments of Karpas, blue and fine linen, and a great crown of gold," which hints at the Kesser of Adam Kadmon. For through eating the Karpas, we merit the Kesser of Adam Kadmon, to receive attainments from the Fiftieth Gate. As it is said regarding "Machlah, Noah, Choglah, Milcah, and Tirzah," as it is said, "And Moshe brought their case (Mishpatan) before Hashem." 'Mishpatan' is written with a large Nun (נ), a great Nun, which hints at the Fiftieth Gate. For it is said, "Before the sun, his name is Yinnon," for only Mashiach, who is called Yinnon, will merit to attain the Fiftieth Gate. "For Yaakov chose Ya-h for himself, Israel for His treasure." Ya-h = 15, for Yaakov was supposed to bring forth 15 tribes. For Levi was divided into two: Levites and Kohanim. And it is written, "And the sons of Moshe were the most numerous," that the sons of Moshe were supposed to be a tribe unto themselves. And Yosef was divided into two: Ephraim and Menashe. In total, there were supposed to be 15 tribes, in the secret of "For Yaakov chose Ya-h for himself, Israel for His treasure." But because it is said, "And the arms of his hands were made supple," and his seed came out through his fingernails, therefore we lost three tribes, and we were left with twelve tribes, and therefore the Fiftieth Gate was withheld from us. But now, through eating the Karpas, Hashem returns the Fiftieth Gate to us. For through the Karpas, which we dip in salt water, 'the secret of the eternal covenant of salt', we merit to rectify the 280 (R"P) sparks, the Gematria of Mantzepa"ch (the five final letters), which is Pa"R (280) judgments of the final letters, which are all entirely judgment. And through eating the Karpas we sweeten the Pa"R judgments. Therefore, Karpas, which is essentially animal food, for bulls (Parim) - oxen and cows, specifically through it we sweeten all the Pa"R judgments. For through eating the Karpas we elevate this from animal food to human food to the Fiftieth Gate.
The secret of the Afikoman, drawing down wealth and the influences from there, and the service of nullification to the true Tzaddik
"Yachatz"
The secret of the Afikoman, the secret of the revelation of the Afikoman, from where all wealth comes, and from where all influences come: Odem, Pitdah, Barekes, Nofech, Sapir, and Yahalom, Leshem, Shvo, and Achlamah, Tarshish, Shoham, and Yashfeh. Through this we merit the intellect of the true Tzaddik. Therefore, it is brought in the Midrash Pli'ah, that Esau was late for the Afikoman, and through this he lost the blessings. For Esau stood on the left side of Yaakov, and thus he deserved a portion in the blessings. The blessings in the secret of "And Esau brought of his hunt," for he is from the left side of Yaakov, {Sha'ar HaPesukim Shemos}, {for it is brought in Heichal HaBracha Toldos}, that Esau was a thousand times greater than Yaakov, only he needed to nullify himself to Yaakov. For Yaakov was a tzaddik, and Esau was wicked, and Esau knew he was wicked, and thus he could have repented. For Esau truly should have received the blessings, for they were due to him, and he was in the secret of the Afikoman. For the Afikoman is in the secret of the hidden light that is hidden even for the wicked. For even the greatest wicked people deserve a reward, and they have a portion in the hidden light, for the portion due to them is from the side of the soul of the Tzaddik which is rooted in all creations. Like the soul of Rabbi Akiva which was rooted in Sisera, and the soul of Rabbi Shimon ben Nesanel which was rooted in Og King of Bashan, the acronym of which is "Shimon ben Nesanel".
To merit through the dividing of Yachatz to subdue and separate the impurity from the heels of Leah, to bring about their downfall, and to merit hearing the Ten Commandments
"Yachatz"
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit at the hour of Yachatz, the secret of the "half-shekel", for twenty gerah is the shekel, the secret of the "Ten Commandments", which we hear at the hour we divide the matzah, which is twenty gerah, and ten gerah which correspond to the Ten Commandments. For through "Yachatz", the secret of the Afikoman, we subdue the two sons of Balaam, Yonus and Yambarus. For Yonus suckles from the right heel of Leah, and Yambarus from the left heel. And through Yachatz, which corresponds to the Sefirah of Tiferes, which is divided into three thirds, and corresponding to the middle third is the Kesser of Rachel, and the heel of Leah is within it. For every heel of Leah shines like the sun, in the secret of the heel of Adam the First which dims the orb of the sun. Regarding this it is said, "Do not look upon me, that I am black," for through "Yachatz", we remove the Kelipos (husks) that grip the heels of Leah. For through "Yachatz" we sweeten the secret of the two birds, which want to take hold of the heels of Leah. This is done because at the hour of "Yachatz" we hear the Ten Commandments, which come from the middle third of the Sefirah of Tiferes, where the heels of Leah are in the Kesser of Rachel. But "Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; and their wrath, for it is cruel." For the two birds, immediately after Chatzos (midnight), ascend to suckle from the heels of Leah, and no external forces can suckle from the heels of Leah. But at that very moment of "Yachatz", the heels of Leah are coated with the Kesser of Rachel. For through "Yachatz" we divide and separate between holiness and the Sitra Achra. This is done on Seder night through "Yachatz" for the entire year, and we separate the Chasadim (Loving-kindnesses) from the Gevuros (Severities), Avraham from Yitzchak, and the Chasadim remain by themselves. This is the secret of "Go your way by the footsteps of the flock," which are the heels of Leah. And then "All the inhabitants of Canaan melted away," through the connection of the heels of Leah with the Kesser of Rachel. And then "The mighty men of Moab, trembling takes hold of them," which is done through the connection of Rachel and Leah, which has the Gematria of Ra'ad (trembling). And then we merit to hear the Ten Commandments, which is done at the hour of "Yachatz", through the connection of the heels of Leah with the Kesser of Rachel. For the Ten Commandments are Ekev (heel) letters {178}, the secret of 'she squeezed grapes and gave them to him', for she wanted to hear the Ten Commandments, which are the numerical value of Ekev. For by treading the grapes with the heel of holiness, it is possible to hear at the hour of treading the Ten Commandments, "a great voice that did not cease." All this is done at the hour of "Yachatz", the secret of the Afikoman, through which we hear the Ten Commandments. This is what Esau lost when he appeared after the eating of the Afikoman, and he lost the Ten Commandments. For Yaakov received the Ten Commandments, through the Ten Commandments, in which there is "the dew of heaven, the dew of the Resurrection of the Dead," which we merit through "Yachatz", and through eating the Afikoman. Therefore, in the Ten Commandments there are Kesser (crown) letters, which we merit through "Yachatz" to the Kesser of Adam Kadmon, in the secret of the "great crown", which Mordechai merited on Seder night, through the fasts and mortifications that he fasted for three days, among them the Seder night. For the entire Seder night is to merit the "great crown", the crown of Adam Kadmon, which Mordechai merited, and through this he brought about the hanging of Haman. Which we merit at the hour of "Yachatz" to hang all the wicked of Israel, and the wicked of the nations of the world, until in the merit of "Yachatz" the sons of Haman came to ask forgiveness from Mordechai. For through "Yachatz" we nullify the sin of the Golden Calf, about which it is said, "And he took it from their hand." And now, with both hands, we break the calf into crumbs, and burn it, for it is permissible to burn sacrifices on Yom Tov. And through "Yachatz", we break and burn the calf, and all that is implied by it, through the lights of the 613 (Tarya"g) letters, and through the Ekev (178) words, in whose merit we tread the grapes, and bring out from them the Preserved Wine, from which come the four cups. For the four cups are drawn from the river that goes out of Eden, from the ancient river, the river Kishon, which is drawn from the Kesser of Adam Kadmon. For "Do not look upon me, that I am black, because the sun has tanned me; my mother's sons were angry with me," and the rectification is "Go your way by the footsteps of the flock, and pasture your kids beside the shepherds' tents." This is the secret of "Yachatz", to divide between holiness and the Sitra Achra, between the heels of Leah and the suckling of Yonus and Yambarus, who pop up in every generation anew to suckle from the heels of Leah, and through "Yachatz" we separate them from the heels of Leah, and through this we bring about their downfall.
To merit the secret of Yachatz and to know that a broken and contrite heart corresponds to the heart that we must break in half, and all our days are free grace and a pledge in the hand of Hashem, and our service is to rectify the 120 permutations of the Name Elokim, and after the broken heart comes salvation to a person
Prayer for Yachatz
The secret of Yachatz, to break the heart in two, for "A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise," through which we ascend to the Fiftieth Gate. For Yachatz is the middle matzah which corresponds to the heart, which we must break into halves, until we merit the verse "A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." Corresponding to the tribe of Levi, which was divided into two, Levites and Kohanim, about whom it is said, "A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise," "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." So too, Master of the Universe, may we also merit to truly break our hearts before You, and may we always feel our lowliness, and the poverty of our worth before You. May we always know that everything is solely free grace, and our entire lives are but a pledge in Your hand, until the time of our calling comes after a hundred and twenty years, as it is said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for that he also is flesh; therefore shall his days be a hundred and twenty years." For we must rectify the 120 permutations of the Name Elokim, which is hinted at in the verse "In the beginning God (Elokim) created the heavens and the earth." For in a place of sparks of fire and burning flames, who can enter except the blacksmith himself? For Rabbi Yochanan sat 17 rows behind Rav, until he received the aspect of Yachatz, of a true broken heart, and merited to be the master of the entire Land of Israel.
Prayer for the three matzohs of Seder night
Prayer for Yachatz for the middle matzah that we break
Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to be filled with awe, trembling, and fear as I approach to break the middle matzah, which corresponds to the Levite, about whom it is said, "My covenant was with him of life and peace, and I gave them to him for fear, and he feared Me, and was afraid before My Name. The law of truth was in his mouth, life and peace, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips, and he turned many away from iniquity." For through Yachatz we merit that all the descents and breakings are transformed into ascents and perfections, the secret of the Afikoman hidden in the Yachatz. For the secret of the Afikoman is the secret of the peak of perfection that we merit at the conclusion of the Seder night, in the aspect of "Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave, its flashes are flashes of fire, a flame of Ya-h." For "Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, neither can gold be given in exchange for it." For there is no substitute for the Torah, nor can Tarshish be exchanged for its value. For the three matzohs correspond to Kohen, Levi, Yisrael. For through the three matzohs we merit both the level of the Levite and the level of the Kohen, which corresponds to Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah. And with the Afikoman we merit the aspect of Yechidah. Esau arrived after the eating of the Afikoman and lost the level of Yechidah, and therefore did not merit to receive the blessings "May God give you of the dew of heaven and of the fatness of the earth." Because Esau lost the aspect of Yechidah, all the other aspects were lost to him, and he was left with only an animal soul. Therefore, may we all always merit the five levels of Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah, Chayah, Yechidah through eating the Afikoman, for then we eat five olives (kezaysim) of matzah, which is the obligation on this night for five olives: 'HaMotzi Lechem Min HaAretz', 'Achilas Matzah', 'Maror', 'Korech', and another two olives for the eating of the Afikoman. Through this, all five aspects of Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah, Chayah, Yechidah are completed, and to know that there is none else besides Him.
To merit in the merit of reading the Haggadah and telling the story of the Exodus from Egypt to the 370 myriad lights, to cut off Balak and Balaam, and to hear the Ten Commandments anew
"Maggid"
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, the secret of "Maggid" in which we tell of all the miracles that were done in Egypt, of the Ten Plagues, and the Splitting of the Reed Sea, in the secret of "And the nursing child shall play by the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the viper's den." For through "Maggid" we draw down the 370 (Shin-Ayin) myriad lights that were taken from Eve, and they return through "Maggid" in the secret of "And the nursing child shall play by the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the viper's den." For through the Maggid we draw down the 370 myriad lights, which transform the 'Tzivoni' (colored/hypocritical one) from a 'Tzefa' (viper) to 'Yesha' (salvation), the 370 myriad lights, "For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation (Yesha), He has covered me with the robe of righteousness (Tzedakah)." All this is done through Tzedakah (charity), which is the secret of 'Kimcha D'Pischa' (Passover flour). Flour (קֶמַח) = Passover (פֶּסַח) = Nachman (נַחְמָן) = 148. For through 'Kimcha D'Pischa' that we give before Seder night, through this we merit to bring down the lights of the 370 myriad lights. For through the 370 myriad lights, which are drawn down through the act of 370, 45, and all the stories of the Haggadah atone for the sin of the Golden Calf, about which it is said, "And now take off your ornaments from upon you," which are the 370 myriad lights that they received at the Giving of the Torah. For through the telling of the Ten Plagues, we merit to hear anew all the Ten Commandments, especially the commandment of "You shall not commit adultery," that we merit to emerge from the lust of adultery, through the 370 myriad lights, which are drawn down through the telling of the Haggadah. For the secret of Balaam, who was the son or grandson of Laban, who suckles from the right heel of Leah, and the secret of Balak who cursed his land and his people, and no remnant of him was left, by the power of the 370 myriad lights that are drawn down through the stories of the Haggadah, and the telling of the Ten Plagues, and all the stories of the Exodus from Egypt, for there will never be such stories again until the end of all generations. For Balaam and Balak suckle from the heel of Leah, and through the telling of the Haggadah we cut them off completely. And through the telling of the Haggadah, all the Kelipos (husks) flee, and we merit the complete Redemption in the blink of an eye, Amen, Netzach, Selah, V'ed.
To merit being meticulous in telling the story of the Exodus from Egypt, and through this we will draw down wealth for the entire year and for all of life, and that the Jewish people will not need one another, and we will be able to heal all the sick from all types of diseases, and to draw down completely new miracles and wonders that have never existed
Prayer for Maggid
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit at the hour I am telling the miracles of the Exodus from Egypt, to ascend to the right nostril of the Nukva d'Pardashka, from where the life of lives comes, the breath of the Resurrection of the Dead, which Yocheved and Miriam drew down, as it is said, "And they let the boys live," that they drew down a spirit of life for them from the Nukva d'Pardashka, of Atika Kadisha, the most hidden of all hidden things, the most ancient of all holy things. As it is said, "And He brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none stumbling among His tribes," that even the simplest among Israel went out with ninety Libyan donkeys loaded with silver and gold, and property and garments and clothes without number. So too, through the telling of the Exodus from Egypt in Maggid, all the wealth for the entire year is drawn down, and for all of life, for us and for all the Jewish people, so that the Jewish people will not need one another, and the kingship will not depart from the House of David forever. And everything is in the merit of the Maggid, in the merit of the stories of the Exodus from Egypt, to bring about new miracles that have never existed. For through the stories of the Exodus from Egypt, we are saved from all the evil afflictions in the world, and from all diseases, and from all cancers, and from all types of paralysis. And it is possible through the stories of the Exodus from Egypt that we tell on Seder night, to draw down completely new miracles and wonders, that have not yet existed since the creation of the world.
To merit knowing that the whole world is guided by the tzaddikim, and all of "Ha Lachma Anya" is to tell the miracles and wonders from the day we gained our understanding, and the matzah is the bread of faith, the bread of healing, upon which we answer and tell the loving-kindnesses of Hashem, and to merit that all my desires and yearnings will be solely to You and for the revelation of the Shechinah
Prayer for Ha Lachma Anya (This is the bread of affliction)
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit in the merit of "Ha Lachma Anya", that when they go to draw water, the pitchers will be filled with large and giant fish, and everything is in the merit of "Ha Lachma Anya", which granted the Jewish people revealed miracles and wonders, without end and without limit. For the world is guided solely by the tzaddikim, and everything we eat in the merit of the tzaddikim is the bread of healing (Nahama D'Asvusa). For the bread of affliction (Lechem Oni) is bread over which we answer (Onim) many things, and tell over it all the miracles and wonders that were done for the Jewish people since they became a nation. And each and every one, "a man and his household," tells of the general and personal miracles and wonders that were done for him and his family, from the day he descended upon the earth, from the day he gained his understanding, from the moment he recognized himself and Hashem. Therefore, it is called the bread of faith, the bread of healing, for all healings are drawn down by telling the miracles and wonders that are done with a person every single day, at every single moment, and at every single second. For all my yearnings are only to You, and therefore "Let all who are hungry come and eat, let all who are in need come and partake of the Passover sacrifice." For one must believe in "Let him come (בְּיֵיתֵי 432) and partake of the Passover sacrifice (וְיִפְסַח 164)" = 696. Gematria of Samson (שִׁמְשׁוֹן) = 696. Gematria of Ancient (עַתִּיק 580) of Days (יוֹמִין 116) = 696. For by eating "Ha Lachma Anya", we ascend to the Ancient of Days = 696, Gematria of Samson = 696, Gematria of in fear (בְּמוֹרָא 249), in awe (בְּ-יִרְאָה 216), in trembling (בְּ-רֶטֶט 218), and in quaking (וּ-בְזִיעַ 89) = 772. Gematria of Shechinah twice (385 + 385 + 2) = 772. For by eating "Ha Lachma Anya", we merit the revelation of the Shechinah, the Supernal Shechinah and the Lower Shechinah.
To merit being all the days of our lives in the aspect of Matzah, which hints at the war with the evil inclination, Matzah and strife, and to clarify all the sparks of darkness from the Sitra Achra until we merit a day that is entirely light and a Sabbath and rest for eternal life
Prayer for the first 'Mah Nishtanah'
That on all other nights we eat chametz and matzah, but on this night only matzah.
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit that all of life will be in the aspect of entirely matzah. For the matzah makes strife (Matzah) and contention with the Sitra Achra. For on all other nights we eat chametz and matzah, for on all the days of the year the good inclination is mixed with the evil inclination, and good and evil, light and darkness serve in a mixture, until the day will shine, and a new light will shine upon Zion, and there will be a day that is entirely light. About this we sing at the end of the Seder, "Bring near the day that is entirely light, a day that is not night." But until that day that will be entirely light, we have to clarify endless sparks of light from within the darkness, and together with it to create the day anew, that it will be entirely light, as it is said, "A new light will shine upon Zion, and may we all merit speedily its light." But this night is entirely matzah, for it is entirely light, and it will be entirely good, in the merit of the matzah that we eat on Seder night, and throughout all the days of Passover. Through this we emerge from all evil, from all chametz, from all darkness, and from every evil inclination, until we merit a day that is entirely light, a day that is entirely Sabbath and rest for eternal life, without any darkness, and without any sorrow at all.
To merit on Seder night to rectify all the souls of the wicked that are impregnated in the vegetables, and to be included in the souls of the tzaddikim who take upon themselves suffering to atone for all the generations, and through eating Maror to sweeten all the bitterness in the world, and to merit six crowns, and to be saved from all the waste in the world because it belongs to the Sitra Achra, and only to be like the wine from which we pour libations on the altar and make Kiddush
Prayer for the second "Mah Nishtanah", that on all other nights we eat other vegetables – corresponding to the World of Beriah
For in vegetables the souls of the wicked become impregnated, in a vegetable whose vitality is minimal, and it immediately withers and fades, to hint at the vitality of the wicked which is very minimal, only for a few minutes. And on Seder night we rectify all the souls of the wicked, by taking upon ourselves Maror (bitter herbs), which are the sufferings of the wicked that the tzaddikim must take upon themselves. And because of the terrible sufferings, as Rebbe Nachman said, that he could bite wood from the intensity of the sufferings he took upon himself, through this he atones for the sufferings of all the generations until the Resurrection of the Dead. For through eating the Maror we merit true prophecy, and through eating the Maror we emerge from all kinds of bitterness in the world. For through eating the Maror we are saved from the judgment of Gehenna, and from the river of fire that comes out from the sweat of the Chayos (holy beasts). Regarding this it is said, "And Hashem gives forth His voice before His army," this is the locust in the Plague of Locusts, "for His camp is very great, for he is strong that executes His word; for the day of Hashem is great and very awesome, and who can endure it?" "Gives forth His voice" is the sound of the Shofar of Rosh Hashanah. "Before His army" these are the Ten Days of Repentance. "For His camp is very great" these are the Jewish people who are more numerous than the sand of the sea. "For the day of Hashem is great" this is Yom Kippur and the Fifteenth of Shvat. For the entire world is before Michael as one cubit, before Gabriel as two cubits, before Elijah as four cubits, and before the Angel of Death as eight cubits. For through eating the Maror on the night of Passover we merit six crowns: 1. Beauty, 2. Strength, 3. Wealth, 4. Wisdom, 5. Prophecy, 6. Leadership. "For wealth and honor come from You," for wealth is from the aspect of Og, and then Hashem said in the war of the five kings, "Stretch out the javelin that is in your hand." For the javelin (Kidon) hints at the 24 (K"D) permutations of Adn"y, which we merit to sweeten through eating Maror. And through Hashem telling Moshe to throw a bitter tree into the bitter waters, for the Jewish people could not drink from the bitter waters out of intense bitterness. Therefore, on the Fifteenth of Shvat, which is the New Year for Trees, when we eat all types of vegetables and fruits, ten of each type: corresponding to the World of Atzilus - fruits without pit or shell; corresponding to the World of Beriah - pit without shell like grapes and dates; corresponding to the World of Yetzirah - shell without pit like persimmon; and corresponding to the World of Asiyah - fruits with pit and shell. On the Fifteenth of Shvat we rectify all four worlds, and therefore we must eat ten of each type, for we must rectify all ten Sefiros in the four worlds. Through this we are saved "from a sweeping rain and great hailstones" that fell during the Plague of Hail, and are still suspended and waiting until the war of Gog and Magog, and some of them fell in the war of Beth Horon, and the rest are still suspended and waiting. Therefore, we are obligated on the Fifteenth of Shvat to make a blessing over eating the Esrog, which is entirely fruit internally and externally without any waste at all. For it is forbidden for there to be any waste in the world at all, for all waste belongs to the Sitra Achra. Therefore, we make a Sukkah specifically from the waste of the threshing floor and the winepress, which is the waste of the wheat, the barley, and the grapes. For Eve squeezed grapes and gave them to him, which hints at the intensity of the impurity of the dregs found in wine, which only on the Fifteenth of Shvat do we merit to separate them from the essence of the wine, which is the aspect of the Preserved Wine, over which we make Kiddush every Friday night and festival night, and from which we drink the four cups on Seder night, and from which we pour libations in the Holy Temple upon the altar day by day, over burnt offerings and peace offerings.
To merit sweetening all the judgments in the world by dipping the Maror in Charoset and the Karpas in salt water, and to merit emerging from all the contamination of the body completely, to subdue the four elements, and to receive a holy body from the Garden of Eden
Prayer for the third 'Mah Nishtanah'
"That we do not dip even once, but on this night twice"
For we must sweeten all the Gevuros (Severities) in the world, and transform them into Chasadim (Loving-kindnesses). For in the Yesod of Zeir Anpin, there the Chasadim and Gevuros are mixed, and upon entering Malchus, the Chasadim completely nullify the Gevuros. For from the right nostril of the Nukva d'Pardashka, the breath of the Resurrection of the Dead is drawn down, and now on Seder night we draw down the breath of life of the life of lives, from the right nostril of the Nukva d'Pardashka, by dipping the Karpas in salt water. For salt is an eternal covenant, between Me and the Children of Israel. And the Maror in Charoset, "Chas - Rus", which is the secret of the Act of Creation, and the secret of the Act of the Chariot, "Chas - Rus". For the Maror is the secret of the Act of Creation, from where all the bitterness in the world comes, and the Charoset is the secret of the Act of the Chariot, "Chas - Rus". For Ruth was surrounded day (יוֹמָם 96) and night (וָלַיְלָה 81) = 177, by the four angels Nuriel (297), Gabriel (246), Michael (101), Raphael (317) = 955. For she was always in humility (בַּעֲנָוָה 133) and lowliness (וְשִׁפְלוּת 822) = 955. Therefore, she merited to subdue the four elements in the Plague of Darkness, the secrets of fire (אֵשׁ 301), water (מַיִם 90), wind (רוּחַ 214), dust (עָפָר 350) = 955. Therefore, we dip twice corresponding to two worlds, Asiyah (385) and Yetzirah (315) = 700. This corresponds to the two Mashiachs, corresponding to twice Enoch (חֲנוֹךְ 84) the son of (בֶּן 52) Jared (יָרֶד 214) = 350 X 2 = 700, who lived 365 years, and entered with his body into the Garden (גַן 53) of Eden (עֵדֶן 124) = 177. For by dipping twice on Seder night the Karpas in salt water, and the Maror in Charoset, we merit to strip the body completely of all filth and contamination, until we merit that the body is completely transformed from evil to good, from Asiyah to Yetzirah, and then we merit to transform the body into a holy body from the Garden of Eden.
To merit the fourth Mah Nishtanah, we all recline, and all descents will be transformed into ascents and our sins into mitzvahs, and the left will be completely nullified and everything will be transformed to the right, and to merit being included in Samson, Yocheved, and the sons of Moshe, and we will merit that we all recline
Prayer for the "Fourth Mah Nishtanah, we all recline," corresponding to the World of Asiyah
Where we will merit that we all recline, corresponding to the Sefirah of Malchus, the World of Asiyah, that we will already merit the Days of Mashiach, where we will all recline. For all year "we eat either sitting or reclining," but for the Days of Mashiach, which is the aspect of Seder night, we will merit that we all recline on the left side. For on Seder night we merit to rectify the left, the aspect that is not in order, and this night is the most orderly there is, and everything goes in order, and all disorder is transformed into order. And all descents, through teshuvah out of love, are transformed into ascents, and through this we nullify the chametz and transform it into matzah. We break the left leg of the letter Chet (ח), which is the left leg of the Chet, and transform it to the right, to the left leg of the Heh (ה) of Matzah (מצה), and then we merit the Fiftieth Gate. Therefore, we recline on the left side, to hint that we have broken the Chet, and transformed all the sins by conducting the Seder night with love while reclining, and we merited on Seder night true teshuvah out of love, that we will never return to our sins forever, and we will transform all the left to the right, and there will be no more left in the world. And the verse will be fulfilled in us, "If you go to the left, I will go to the right," that we will always turn only to the right, as it is said, "All your turns should be to the right." We will not be like Adonijah the son of David who took the kingship for himself, and did not hand it over to Hashem, may He be blessed. In the merit that we transform the left to the right on Seder night, we will merit the verse, "Dan shall be a serpent on the way, a viper by the path, that bites the horse's heels so that its rider falls backward." For Samson, who came from Dan, was supposed to be Mashiach, as it is said, "And he shall begin to save Israel." For on Seder night a spark of Mashiach sparkles, a spark of the Redemption, a spark of 'we all recline', just as we will merit the Sukkah made from the skin of the Leviathan, which is the revelation of the Fiftieth Gate. As it is said, "And a man of the house of Levi went and took a daughter of Levi." The Zohar says in Shlach Lecha, "a daughter of Levi" is the daughter of the Leviathan, the Fiftieth Gate, for Amram merited the revelation of the Fiftieth Gate, which is revealed on Seder night. As it is said, "And the Children of Israel went up armed (chamushim/fifties) out of the land of Egypt." And it is said, "And the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous," that the sons of Moshe merited to be more than six hundred thousand, for they merited the Fiftieth Gate. And if Moshe had not sinned by striking the rock, his sons would have brought the Redemption to the Jewish people, and then the blessing of the fourth "Mah Nishtanah" would have been fulfilled: we all recline.
To merit being all the days of our lives in the World of Atzilus and to live in Jerusalem which corresponds to the World of Atzilus, and there is the root of the Son and all the wisdoms of the 32 paths and the 50 gates of understanding
Corresponding to four sons the Torah spoke:
The Wise Son corresponds to the World of Atzilus
The Wicked Son corresponds to the World of Asiyah
The Simple Son corresponds to the World of Beriah
The Son Who Does Not Know How to Ask corresponds to the World of Yetzirah
Master of the Universe, grant me the merit that all the days of my life, I will only and always be in the World of Atzilus. Through this, may I always merit to ascend to the World of the Nukva d'Pardashka, the right nostril, from where the sources of life come, and from where the life of the Resurrection of the Dead, the life of lives, is drawn down. May I always merit to live in Jerusalem, the secret of Adam Kadmon of Adam Kadmon, which corresponds to the World of Atzilus, where the root of the Nukva d'Pardashka of Atika of all Atikins is. There is the root of the Wise Son, and from there come all the wisdoms, all the 32 paths of wisdom, and all the 50 gates of understanding.
The Order of D'Tza"Ch A'Da"Sh B'Acha"V according to the order of the Sefiros:
Blood (Dam) – Malchus of Adam Kadmon
Frogs (Tzfardea) – Yesod of Adam Kadmon
Lice (Kinnim) – Hod of Adam Kadmon
Wild Animals (Arov) – Netzach of Adam Kadmon
Pestilence (Dever) – Tiferes of Adam Kadmon
Boils (Shchin) – Gevurah of Adam Kadmon
Hail (Barad) – Chesed of Adam Kadmon "Indeed, it is a spirit in man"
Darkness (Choshech) – Chochmah of Adam Kadmon
To merit sanctifying the Name of Heaven in public and to draw down the Plague of Blood upon all the haters of Israel and anyone who sabotages our vineyard, they will all be struck, defeated, and repelled, and receive a blow from which there is no recovery, and Hashem will avenge the blood of His holy sons and servants
Plague of Blood – Tiferes of Adam Kadmon
Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to be included in the Sefirah of Malchus of Adam Kadmon, from where the Plague of Blood was drawn down, and struck Egypt, because Pharaoh slaughtered one hundred and fifty infants every single day, evening and morning, a total of three hundred a day, who were slaughtered and crucified in sanctification of Hashem's Name. Please, Hashem, grant me the merit to sanctify the Name of Heaven in public, and may I merit to draw down the Plague of Blood upon all the haters of Israel, every single day, and every single hour. For the Plague of Blood was drawn down for seven days from the Name Ehy-eh (One should intend in his heart - Aleph 1, E-h 6, Ehy 16, Ehyeh 21 = 44 = Dam/Blood). For through the Name Ehy-eh, it is possible to draw down the Plague of Blood upon all the haters of Israel, and all those who want to harm and sabotage the vineyard of the House of Israel. They will all be struck, defeated, and repelled from their place, a decisive blow upon every single face, and they will be struck double for all that they have done and perpetrated against the Jewish people. Therefore, Hashem will avenge the blood of His servants, and the blood of His precious sons, and He will draw down upon anyone who tries to harm and sabotage the vineyard of Israel, He will draw down upon them "fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup."
To merit the guarding of the Yesod and through this to rain fire and brimstone upon all the haters of Israel, to merit the fear of Heaven, to be a veteran disciple of the Tzaddik, for the protection of the angels, for the secret of the Fiftieth, and to strike Egypt
Plague of Frogs – Yesod of Adam Kadmon
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, grant me the merit to be perfect in the Sefirah of Yesod, and that I will never again blemish the Sefirah of Yesod forever. Through this, Hashem will rain fire and brimstone upon all the haters of Israel, and all those who intend to harm them, God forbid. And it will be rained upon them day (יוֹמָם 96) and night (וָלַיְלָה 81) = 177, Hashem is One (1), fire (אֵשׁ 301) and brimstone (וְגָפְרִית 699) = 1001 from Heaven, day (יוֹמָם 96) and night (וָלַיְלָה 81) = 177, without a pause of a single second. And through this, Hashem is One, I will merit true fear (יִרְאַת 611) of Heaven (שָׁמַיִם 390) = 1001. And I will merit, Hashem is One (1), to be a veteran (וָתִיק 516) disciple (תַּלְמִיד 484) = 1001 of our Rebbe (רַבֵּינוּ 268) Nachman (נַחְמָן 148) the son of (בֶּן 52) Simcha (שִׂמְחָה 353) the son of (בֶּן 52) Feiga (פֵיגֶא 94) = 967. And by raining the Plague of Frogs upon the Egyptians and upon all the haters of Israel, I will merit that the angels Nuriel, Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael will accompany me day (יוֹמָם 96) and night (וָלַיְלָה 81) = 177, and I will enter with my body into the Garden (גַּן 53) of Eden (עֵדֶן 124) = 177. And we will merit the secret of the frog, as hinted at in Likutey Moharan Torah 3, the secret of the Bird of Knowledge (Tzipor De'ah), the Fiftieth Gate. And through the aspect of studying at night, the secret of "Akrukta", a female raven whose wings are completely black, like coal, through this aspect we will merit the Divine revelation of the Fiftieth Gate, the aspect of the Bird of Knowledge. For because the Jewish people merited the revelation of the Fiftieth Gate, Hashem struck Egypt from the Fiftieth Gate, a plague of killing and destruction, a plague from which there is no recovery at all.
To merit the guarding of the eyes and through this to see the light of the face of the Tzaddik, that the wisdom of a man will illuminate his face, and we will be careful and saved from the counsel of the evil inclination, from the small sins that a person treads upon with his heels, and especially in the known lust that consumes and destroys a person with every mouth and at any price
Prayer for Lice – Hod of Adam Kadmon
Master of the Universe, the Omnipotent One, in the merit of the Plague of Lice, which was drawn down from the Hod in Adam Kadmon, which is the fifth Sefirah of the five Sefiros, from Chesed to Hod. Therefore, the land of Egypt was turned "into a desolation and a curse" and into burning brimstone, as it is said, "And fire flashing in the midst of the hail." For through the Plague of Lice, which was an aspect of darkness and gloom for Egypt, for it was a plague upon the entire body of the Egyptians, and they became a curse and a byword in the eyes of all the nations. And wherever the Plague of Lice spread, they knew that up to there was the border of Egypt. For the Lice is the third plague of the Ten Plagues, and the first without any warning, for it no longer needed a warning, because it struck specifically at the necromancers and the sorcerers. And through this, the skin of Moshe's face shone, for then Pharaoh and all of Egypt said, "This is the finger of God." For by sticking the finger in the eyes, one merits the illumination of the face of Moshe, "that the wisdom of a man will illuminate his face," and one emerges from all lusts and bad traits forever, and we will never again fall into any bad lust or bad trait, which is the aspect of the Lice forever and ever. For the lice are tiny and hidden from the eye, like sins that a person treads upon with his heels, and listens to the evil inclination, and says to it, this is a small sin, this is a stage that no one sees, and do not pay attention to its severity and its punishment. And so this sin runs rampant around the person, and trips him up day by day anew. And through the Plague of Lice, the Jewish people emerged from the hands of sin, from the hands of the light sins that trip him up and blacken his face for the Future to Come, like a person whose face is blackened and eaten by lice. And through the Plague of Lice, they rectified the Sefirah of Hod of Adam Kadmon, which corresponds to the left leg, which hints at the terrible lust of adultery, which consumes and destroys a person with every mouth and at any price.
To merit being included in the Netzach of Adam Kadmon, to know that we are responsible for one another, to be saved from forbidden thoughts which are predatory beasts, to nullify their power, to merit ruling and governing over them, and to return all the beasts to their root
Prayer for the Plague of Wild Animals (Arov) – Netzach of Adam Kadmon
