Prayer for the Molad (New Moon) of the Month of Adar 5786, from the holy gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The moment of the molad (new moon) of the month of Adar contains within it a rare spiritual opportunity to recreate the historic miracle of the days of Purim. This prayer from our teacher, the holy gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, distills the yearning for absolute freedom and for the nullification of all accusations (katrugim—prosecutions in the Heavenly Court) and threats against the People of Israel in every generation. Through connection to the deep secrets of the victory of good over evil, we ask to draw down the light of the Geulah (redemption) and eternal protection, and to subdue the forces of hatred once and for all.

PRAYER FOR THE MOLAD OF ADAR

Tuesday, toward morning, 3:29, 12 chalakim (parts)

Master of the Universe, Almighty, as we reach the point of the molad of the month of Adar—3:29, 12 chalakim, toward morning—when all the gates of Heaven are opened, the gates of Chochmah, Binah, and Daas (wisdom, understanding, and inner knowledge), draw upon us the lights of Purim. For then “Yesod Abba” (the foundational channel of “Abba”—the supernal fatherly intellect in Kabbalah) is revealed in all its splendor, radiance, and wholeness. This happens only once a year, and then it is possible to accomplish anything and everything: zivugim (soulmate matches), the remembrance of barren women (pekidas akarot—being granted children), happiness and wealth and every good forever—“Remember Your mercies, Hashem, and Your kindnesses, for they are from everlasting.”

And may there be revealed, at the moment of the molad, the secret of the Mishkan (Tabernacle): and the pure Menorah—a Menorah of fire; and the pure Shulchan (Table)—a Table of fire; and the pure Aron (Ark) in which were the two Tablets with the Ten Commandments—an Ark of fire. And may we merit to receive anew the Beis HaMan (the “House of Haman,” i.e., the turning-over and transformation of Haman’s power and decree), just as Mordechai and Esther received it; and to hang all the haters of Israel upon a tree fifty cubits high, just as Mordechai and Esther merited within three days. And just as in the days of Purim they succeeded in destroying all the haters of Israel throughout all one hundred and twenty-seven provinces, so too, merit us this year, at the moment of the molad of Adar—which will be on Tuesday, 3:29, 12 chalakim, toward morning—to be completely and forever liberated, for eternity of eternities, from all the haters of Israel and the butchers of Israel who appear anew in every generation, in the secret of “eleven stars bowing to me”—which are the eleven chiefs (alufim) of Esav, and among them “Aluf Magdiel,” which is Rome. And may it cease to prosecute (to be mekatrig) against the People of Israel, in the secret of the “goblet” (gavia) of Binyamin, whose gematria (numerical value) is Mordechai and Esther and the eleven chiefs of Esav = 946, ḥet-tav-kuf-mem-vav.
