A PRAYER FOR THE MOLAD OF AV - THE MOLAD OF AV: TUESDAY MORNING 4:49, 16 CHALAKIM

Master of the Universe, Almighty—nothing You plan is beyond You. At the molad of the month of Av, the Beis HaMikdash of fire must descend, and then all the sins of Israel from all generations will be forgiven—from the sin of Adam HaRishon. All the blemishes that caused the two destructions—the burning of the Beis HaMikdash twice—will be repaired. Then it will be a time for the revelation of Moshiach ben David ﬩ 1 = in the blink of an eye [= 435]. For all the exiles, disasters, and punishments are because we still have not mourned for Jerusalem as is fitting, as it is said: “Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all who mourn for her.” And then, at the molad of Av, which will be on Tuesday toward morning—4:49, 16 chalakim—the verse will be fulfilled in us: “And he raised his right hand and his left hand to Heaven, and swore by the One Who lives forever, that for a time, times, and a half; and when the shattering of the power of the holy people is completed, all these things will be finished.” Then the Beis HaMikdash of fire will descend, and Eliyahu HaNavi will bring near the two Tamid offerings—one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Then: “Many will be clarified, and whitened, and refined; the wicked will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.” Then the verses will be fulfilled in us: “Hashem is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusted and I was helped; my heart rejoiced, and with my song I will thank Him. Hashem is strength to them, and He is a stronghold of salvations for His anointed one. Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You, when I lift my hands toward the Sanctuary of Your holiness. Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; tend them and carry them forever” [Tehillim 28].
