Prayer: Master of the Universe, Almighty. "The Jews had light 212 and gladness 359, joy 656 and honor."

עורך ראשי

1. Master of the Universe, Almighty, grant me the merit to distribute tzedakah (charity) in great abundance. Let me no longer be stingy, and let me not save from one day to the next. Remove from me the lust for money, so that I will no longer believe in money. Instead, let me believe with complete emunah (faith) that in every single second, You bestow a completely new abundance, and there is no connection between one second and the next, nor any connection between one day and the next. Through my meriting this spiritual level, bestow upon me all the 370 myriads of lights that were taken from Chava (Eve), the Infinite Light (Ohr Ein Sof), and the Light of the Seven Days of Creation.

Master of the Universe, Almighty, from whom no purpose can be withheld, grant me the merit to be like Abba Shaul, who was the tallest of his generation (Niddah 24b) and had no jealousy toward anyone in the world. Grant me the merit to be a burier of the dead like Abba Shaul, who used to bury the "evil eye" and jealousy. He merited to bury the evil eye of Avshalom, who could not tolerate the success of his own father, let alone the success of others. He also merited to bury the evil eye of Og, King of Bashan, who devised schemes on how to kill Avraham Avinu (our Patriarch Abraham), peace be upon him, and certainly envied other people. Therefore, Abba Shaul merited to be the tallest of his generation, as Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz writes in the book Midrash Pinchas, that he attained the spiritual level of Arich Anpin (the Divine Countenance of Infinite Patience) and ascended to Arich Anpin. He never became angry and never envied anyone in the world, even if they were more successful than him, and certainly he did not envy people who were more important, more righteous, or greater Torah scholars. So too, grant me the merit, from now until eternity, to be like Abba Shaul. Let me never again envy anyone in the world, nor yearn for money at all. Let me hate money with an absolute hatred, more than terrorists and Nazis, may their names be erased. May I merit to fulfill what is written in the story of the Baal Tefillah (The Master of Prayer, by Rebbe Nachman), to smell the foul odor that emanates from money, until I throw away every coin from myself in panic and in the blink of an eye, and I will not want to have any money at all, from now until eternity.

Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to be courageous and strong in the trait of bitachon (trust in Hashem). Let me not fear to distribute as much tzedakah (charity) as possible, and let me not worry from one day to the next. Let me not place my trust in flesh and blood, and let me not, Heaven forbid, fall into the category of the cursed, as it is written: "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength" (Yirmiyahu 17:5). Throughout my entire life, let me trust only in You and place my reliance upon You. Let me not hope for the salvation of man, as it is written: "And vain is the salvation of man." Let me know that all my sustenance comes directly from You, not through any person and not through any other channel. May the verses be fulfilled in me: "Give us help against the adversary, for vain is the salvation of man. Through God we shall do valiantly, and He will tread down our adversaries." "May You add days to the days of the king; may his years be as generation after generation. May he sit forever before God; appoint lovingkindness and truth that they may preserve him. So I will sing praise to Your Name forever, that I may perform my vows day by day." Grant me the merit, in Your abundant mercy, to toil in Your holy Torah day and night with immense and mighty effort. Let me not waste a single minute or moment from my studies, until I merit to reveal true chiddushim (novel Torah insights) in Your holy Torah—true insights that will bring You nachas (pleasure) and be acceptable before Your Throne of Glory. May I ascend from one Sefirah (Divine emanation) to the next, until I merit to be integrated into the root of my soul at the Throne of Glory. Grant me the merit to strengthen myself and strive with all my might to constantly reveal true insights in Your holy Torah. May all my thoughts be bound and attached solely to Your holy Torah. Have mercy on me and bestow upon me true Torah insights that will be a true tikkun (rectification) for my Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshamah (levels of the soul).

Master of the Universe, Almighty, from whom no purpose can be withheld, grant me the merit to hate money with absolute hatred and disgust. In this merit, may I merit, Hashem is One, to reach the level of "And he was wiser than all men." May I merit to know the entire Shas Gemara, Rambam, Tur, and Shulchan Aruch, along with all their commentaries, by heart—forwards and backwards, with broad proficiency and deep analysis. In this merit, let me never again look at any strange woman in the world at all, Heaven forbid, nor any strange girl in the world at all, Heaven forbid. Open for me all the gates of holiness, and may I merit to see Hashem face to face. *One 1 *to reach 118 the level of 677 and he was wiser 84 than all 90 men 50 = 1010.
