Rabbi Ofer Erez shlit"a Issues a Sacred Call for the Important Fundraising

The Rabbinical Committee of the holy Breslov Shuvu Banim community issues a holy call for this important campaign:

Hundreds of families arrive at the prayer hall, yet they have no roof over their heads. Prayer after prayer, day after day, they pray under the open sky, as only a few of the congregants manage to squeeze into the small hall.

This is a holy community of limited means, and this synagogue is among the few that do not sell the honors of being called to the Torah. As a result of the strained economic situation, no collections are held from the public, and the treasury is empty; it does not have enough to cover all the expenses of the prayer hall, and certainly not to adapt it to the number of congregants.

We appeal to the public to help with the essential expenses of electricity, cleaning, and the maintenance of the synagogue and the surrounding kollelim for the avreichim. The prayer hall is central for hundreds of households; many participate there in the Kiddusha Rabba and Shabbat meals. The coffee corner is open to the entire public of learners and congregants, and there is also a soup kitchen that provides meals to hundreds of members of the community.

The holy desire is to settle the debts for current expenses and to begin expanding the synagogue into a structure worthy of Torah and prayer. These are very high expenses just for the regular maintenance and operation.

To the entire important public, there is a request from the people who demonstrate self-sacrifice for all the activity—the activity in the Beit Midrash, in the classes, and in all the medical matters of the Rav.

There is an opportunity to donate and thereby help with all this activity, and there is no need to mention the magnitude of its importance.

Therefore, whether it is in terms of donations or standing orders—may the blessing come upon everyone who is able to do so.
