Rallying for Our Holy Flock—Talmud Torah and Kindergartens! Saving the Holy Torah Institutions of Shuvu Banim

The “Nechamas Tzion” Talmud Torah and boys’ kindergartens in Jerusalem were founded by The Rav shlit"a with one goal: to raise the sons of our holy community to Torah and yiras Shamayim, in the path of our holy master Rebbe Nachman of Breslov zy"a—so that this way will be planted in the children’s hearts from their earliest years, and its imprint will remain with them forever.

This is the cheder where the future generation of our community is being formed. Today, about 500 (!) young lambs—holy flock, tinokos shel beis rabban, whose pure breath sustains the world—are being educated here. In the Talmud Torah there is a staff of experienced, G-d-fearing educators who maintain ongoing, close contact with the parents. The investment is already evident from early childhood, and it provides a framework for every age—from kindergarten classes through 9th grade, preparing the boys for a small yeshivah. In most grades there are parallel classes that open each year. The administrators of the institutions invest all their strength and energy to raise students filled with ahavas Torah and pure yiras Shamayim—love of the Creator and love of Israel. Because this is a unique community need that requires a tailored response for each student, a wide range of professional supports has been established for the children: advancing classes, a supportive para-medical system to assist struggling students, a rich learning center, emotional mentors, and more. The great demand to be accepted into the Talmud Torah strengthens the sense of satisfaction at the students’ progress in every proper measure. This is especially evident as each school year approaches, with registration steadily increasing from year to year.
The administration of the institutions has merited abundant Heavenly kindness and special favor, together with the ongoing guidance and blessing of The Rav shlit"a, to continually enhance the quality of the Talmud Torah.
The administration announces that, since the Talmud Torah building that has stood for many years on Ido HaNavi Street has become too small to contain the growth,
and, Baruch Hashem, approvals and plans already exist to expand the Talmud Torah building. Soon, im yirtzeh Hashem, the major expansion process will begin, including enormous halls for gatherings—for the benefit and comfort of the students and the community.Subscribe to Our Newsletter
