Residents of the Gaza Envelope, Shuvu Banim Netivot, and Reserve Soldiers at a Shiur in the Home of the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

After the difficult and awe-inspiring days that all of Am Yisrael—and especially the residents of the Gaza Envelope and the Shuvu Banim community in Netivot—went through in the horrific massacre on Shemini Atzeres last week, the reserve soldiers on the front and the residents of Netivot and the Gaza Envelope on the home front gathered for a special shiur on Monday night, the eve of 2 MarCheshvan, at the home of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
Below is a very brief summary of a small portion of The Rav shlit"a’s words that were said during the shiur: The Rav shlit"a opened the shiur with a wondrous teaching he brought from the sefer Or LaMeir: that the year 5784 is the year of the Geulah, and that this war is the final war before Moshiach. The Rav shlit"a said that everyone who fights in this war will merit to enter Gan Eden directly. In the course of his words, the Rav aroused everyone to the importance of helping—even someone who is not fighting himself must still step forward and contribute supplies for the soldiers and for the residents of the Gaza Envelope. Later, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the matter of Shimi and Chonyo.
Toward the end of the shiur, The Rav shlit"a spoke from the prayer of Yehoshafat brought in Divrei HaYamim, showing how he strengthened them to have Emunah in Hashem before going out to war. Along with this, The Rav shlit"a added that in truth, if one goes with niggunim and songs, then there is no need to fight at all—just as it is written, “And at the time they began with joyous song and praise, Hashem set ambushes…” etc.
It is worth noting that Rabbi Nir Or shlit"a, one of the rabbis of the ‘Shuvu Banim in Netivot’ community, also participated in the shiur.
Below is documentation from the shiur:
