To Save the Friendship of Our Remnant • A Bris for the Grandson of the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in His Home

In the shadow of the “Swords of Iron” war, a Bris was held yesterday for the grandson of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a—born to R’ Yehuda Stern, son of the chassidic elder R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a, and a son-in-law of the Zucker family.

The Bris took place in the morning hours. The Rav shlit"a was honored as Sandak and with the blessings, and the chassidic elder R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a was honored with the Chair of Eliyahu. The newborn was given his Jewish name: Natan Matityahu, son of Rabbi Yehuda Stern (may he live a long and good life). After the shiur, The Rav shlit"a sat down for the Bris meal and opened with about ten minutes of words of Torah, strengthening everyone about the greatness of the Bris and additional topics. After the shiur, he began songs of joy and awakening. Among the songs, the atmosphere of war was also felt through the singing of “Acheinu Kol Beis Yisrael,” and the song, “Oy, a people that trusts—alive and enduring despite everything…” After about an hour of singing at the Bris seudah, he delivered another shiur in which he spoke about many subjects, including the weekly parashah through Aggadah, along with many new insights.

Below is documentation from the Bris seudah:
