The Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Visits His Student Rabbi Moshe
Gershanowitz

His Eminence, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, arrived for a home visit in the Beit Yisrael neighborhood of Jerusalem to see his longtime student, the venerable Rabbi Moshe Gershonovitch shlit"a. Rav Berland shlit"a made a calculation within his holy words and said, "One must live until the age of 144; everyone must commit themselves to living until that age. One must go to a lawyer and commit to this. We do not give up a single year; in Shuvu Banim, we do not give up. It is forbidden to give up," the Rav repeated and emphasized his words several times.
Rav Berland shlit"a further added and said, "The girls, too, must study the weekly Torah portion."
