The Grandson and the Gabbai Speak About the Hospitalization of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

To our great sorrow, The Rav, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, has been hospitalized for several days already, while all his flock waits and lifts their eyes in prayer.

In an important interview with the Breslov information line (9148*), Rabbi Dov Zucker—gabbai and grandson of The Rav shlit"a—shared about his condition. We are bringing the main points.

"After additional blood test results came in, it became clear that The Rav’s kidneys were under much higher pressure than average. In addition, although the other indicators dropped significantly, they are still about 30% above average."

"The medical team recommended continuing with home hospitalization, which would include coming to the hospital every day for tests. Later, the medical team understood that it is not possible to move someone of such an age and in such a condition to the hospital every day. Therefore, it was decided that The Rav shlit"a would remain in the hospital over Shabbos."

"It is important to note that this past Tuesday, the public gathered for prayer at the remnant of our Beis HaMikdash, and indeed on Wednesday we already saw a noticeable change in The Rav’s condition."

"Rabbi Berland shlit"a asked that the public gather again today, Friday—Erev Rosh Chodesh Nissan 5782—to recite three times The Tikkun HaKlali."

"We all hope that the prayers will help, and that The Rav shlit"a will be released already at the beginning of next week—Nissan, the month of joy."
