The Lesson of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, Last Night After Ma’ariv

The lesson of our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, delivered last night, Tuesday, the night of the 24th of Iyar, Parshat Bamidbar, after Sefirat HaOmer
Then Hashem asks Elijah the Prophet, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" (Kings I 19:13) - What are you doing here? How did you bypass the guards? How did you enter without permission? For he possessed the secret key that opens the gate, and that is how he entered inside. And who enters there? Only two. It was Moses and Elijah the Prophet. Only two entered; it is impossible for more, there is no room for more.
And then Hashem asked him, what are you doing here? How did you get here? "What are you doing here?" What did he say? "The children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant" (ibid. verse 10). Hashem said to him, "They have forsaken Your covenant"!? How could that be! They all perform the covenant of circumcision; why would they have forsaken Your covenant? "For the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant... and they have killed Your prophets." They did not kill any prophets! Only Jezebel killed; one is forbidden to touch Jezebel. Why is it forbidden to touch Jezebel? Because she dances all day long; she bounces her heels. The dogs did not eat the heels and they did not eat the palms of the hands. The moment a person bounces, the main thing is the bouncing! That a person bounces their heels, that is the whole matter. The moment a person bounces their heels, immediately the complete Geulah (Redemption) will come!
