The Secret of “A Voice of Joy and a Voice of Gladness, the Voice of a Groom and the Voice of a Bride” — the secret of “On the Day of His Wedding”—this is the Giving of the Torah; “and on the Day of His Heart’s Rejoicing”—this is the building of the Beis HaMikdash

For the Giving of the Torah is the marriage between Hashem and the People of Israel—through the merit of the three Avos who are included among the Seven Shepherds [= Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov, Moshe, Aharon, Yosef, David], and through the merit of Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah—whose gematria equals “I am Hashem your G‑d, Who took you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage” = 2495. And the Tablets are the kesubah (marriage contract), for Hashem—Who is the Groom—is the letter Yud of the Name Havayah, and the Bride—who is the People of Israel—is the final letter Hei of the Name Havayah.

And this is the secret of “A voice of joy and a voice of gladness, the voice of a groom and the voice of a bride, the voice of those who say: Give thanks to Hashem Tzevaos, for Hashem is good, for His kindness is forever—bringing a thanksgiving-offering to the House of Hashem” (Yirmiyahu 33:11), for the Giving of the Torah is the true Korban Todah (thanksgiving-offering), which is eaten only for a day and a night—until Chatzos. For the essence of the revelation of the Giving of the Torah is, each and every day, at Chatzos of the night—when the Giving of the Torah is revealed anew! And at every Chatzos it is possible to rise up and hear again the Ten Commandments: “I am Hashem your G‑d… You shall not have other gods before Me” (Shemos 20:2).
