The Song of Longing for Uman Composed by the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The month of Elul is in full swing. In normal years, at this time, the air would be filled with the scent of the journey to the holy resting place of Rebbe Nachman in Uman. This year, the longing for the holy site only intensifies as a fierce battle is waged against the Breslov chassidim and all those trying to reach Uman for Rosh Hashanah.
What better way to connect to the atmosphere of longing for the holy site than through the majestic voice of the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a singing "You Brought Us Until Here".
[audio mp3="https://www.shuvubanimint.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/שיר-הגעגועים.mp3" autoplay="true"][/audio]Rabbi Berland shlit"a composed the song himself many years ago, and over the years added verses that reflect the desires and yearnings for the holy site. The song of longing is sung by the chassidic choirs as an expression of the heart's yearning and longing for the place of the tzaddik, Rebbe Nachman.
In the video, Rabbi Berland shlit"a sings the song with the large crowd at a gathering held in Or Akiva.

The words to the song of longing composed by Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a:
You brought us until here, bring us to Uman. Without passports and documents, only song and dance. Without debts and loans, only prayers and requests. Without visas and permits, only songs and praises. Without shopping and purchases, because every second is precious. With infants and children, believe that miracles will happen. Without eating and drinking, only prayer and immersion. Without sleep and slumber, only at the holy site. Without cameras and photos, only desires and longings. Without lotteries and restrictions, only everyone gathered. We will establish yeshivas and hotels, around our holy Rebbe. On Rosh Hashanah we will all be present, in the hall of thousands upon thousands. All the buildings belonging to the kloiz, are released in honor of Rosh Hashanah. This year in the kloiz we pray, and through this we will be saved with eternal salvation. From Jerusalem to Uman we land directly, and immediately prostrate on the site. Through song and dance, we create new heavens and earth. Through prostration on the graves of tzaddikim, we will hasten the building of the eternal house. Through his holy site, the Holy of Holies, governments of tzaddikim will arise. Through the light of the lights and the first three, our eyes will behold wonders. Our holy Rebbe, the Holy of Holies, at every moment renews innovations. Our holy Rebbe, eternal eternity, will bring us Mashiach ben David. Through our holy Rebbe, the collective of all tzaddikim, we will merit the giving of the Torah with voices and lightning. A bright light is in the heavens, saving all the players of the heavens. Through the love of all friends, we will merit the blessing of the radiance of the worlds. Through the love of all tzaddikim, we will merit the influence of all mercies. Through the intellect that includes all intellects, we will merit the salvation of all worlds. Through the intellect that includes the Foundation Stone, we will merit the complete redemption. On Rosh Hashanah, the Foundation Stone, encompasses all creation. Through Rosh Hashanah, the light of the lights, we will merit the pure light of purity. Without missiles and masks, only Psalms and tractates. Without wars and alarms, only to break the hearts. Without shelters and sealed rooms, only to break open the sealed hearts. Without nuclear and atomic war, only to believe in the true tzaddik. Through guarding the eyes on the roads, we will merit the surrounding lights. Without hindrances and confusions, only on the wings of eagles. You brought us until here, bring us to Uman.Subscribe to Our Newsletter
