This Year, Following the Rabbis’ Instruction, We Transfer the “Zecher L’Machatzis HaShekel” for Our Sake and for the Sake of Our Generations

This year, following the instruction of the community rabbis, we are transferring the “Zecher L’Machatzis HaShekel” for the salvation of the Shuvu Banim institutions "For our sake and for the sake of our generations"
Before you is a prayer from Rabbi Berland shlit"a to say before giving the money of “Zecher L’Machatzis HaShekel”:
May I merit to increase my tzedakah with both hands, without worrying about tomorrow. May I not be afraid at all. And through tzedakah, may all the coverings that cloud my mind be removed from me, so that I will understand everything.
Machatzis HaShekel
Master of the Universe, Almighty—grant me the merit to increase in tzedakah. Through this, may the verse be fulfilled in me: “and there will not be a plague among them when they are counted,” for through tzedakah we are saved from all calamities, from all harsh decrees, and from all illnesses in the world. May I always increase in tzedakah. May I not fear tomorrow or what is to come. May I not worry about anything when I give tzedakah, and may I never be afraid. May I scatter tzedakah with both hands, as it is said, “He has distributed, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever,” and as it is written, “There is one who scatters, and yet increases more.” And may I merit, through this scattering of tzedakah, to be included in Nukva d’Pardashka—Nekev Yemin, from where the spirit of life of Techiyas HaMeisim is drawn, which Yocheved and Miriam drew down for the children of Israel. Through this they merited long life, and the giving of the Torah, and to hear the Aseres HaDibros. And in the merit of tzedakah, may my mind be opened for me; may all the coverings that cloud my mind be removed—those that prevent me from understanding matters as they truly are. Rather, in the merit of tzedakah, may I merit from now on to understand everything that I learn. And in the merit of tzedakah, may I merit to heal all the sick in the world, and to revive the dead, and to bring the complete Geulah in the blink of an eye. Amen—forever, selah, and eternally.
Transfer the “Zecher L’Machatzis HaShekel” now, and merit an eternal partnership in sustaining the Shuvu Banim—Nechamas Tzion institutions:
