To Preserve the Kedushah of the Holy Tzion, Rav Berland Fights - Now the Ukrainian Delegation Demands It

After our teacher, the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, worked to open the way to Uman and bring hundreds of thousands of people to the holy gathering. Throughout all the years from then until today, Rav Berland repeatedly speaks about the obligation to preserve the kedushah (holiness) of the holy tzion in Uman. The Rav shlit"a has mentioned this in dozens of lessons and even composed many prayers, among them the comprehensive 'Prayer of the Poor for the Tzion of Our Holy Rebbe in Uman.'
As is known, our teacher Rav Berland truly fought so that those staying at the holy tzion would not bring chairs to the tzion and would not eat there. The Rav repeatedly explained that the place of the tzion is truly the 'Holy of Holies and the Foundation Stone.'
And behold, all that was needed, Breslov chassidim who know the greatness of the kedushah of the tzion, to lead long ago, is now being demanded by the Ukrainian government.
Yesterday, on Tuesday of Parshat Ki Tavo 5780, a governmental delegation visited Uman led by Ukraine's Coronavirus Projector and the Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Police. The delegation arrived with a retinue of officials to check if the area is suitable for receiving thousands of people according to legal health criteria.
The delegation was favorably impressed by the proper arrangements in Rabbi Shiner's dining area, but was not favorably impressed by the situation at the tzion. According to them, all possibilities of sitting in the tzion area must be canceled, except for a limited number of seats for the disabled. The delegation also recommended creating a path where people would pass one by one from the entrance to the exit, maintaining a distance of one and a half meters between each person.
In order to allow the maximum number of people to enter at once, and for each of them to stay as long as possible near the tzion, they agreed to create a winding path like a snake, allowing each person to stay along the path while moving for about 15 minutes.
Additionally, the delegation demanded that no minyanim be held at the tzion, and also not to bring personal or public holy books wrapped in lamination. The delegation further demanded that no eating take place at the site at all.
