The Day of Rescue of the Satmar Rebbe ○ A Prayer to Merit Miracles and Wonders Like the Satmar Rebbe

Today, the 21st of Kislev, Satmar Chassidus marks the Day of Rescue of the Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel of Satmar zt"l, from the Bergen-Belsen extermination camp. The Rebbe was included on the well-known “Kasztner Train.” Before his departure, the Rebbe was asked to shave his beard, but he refused. Instead, he was permitted to wrap a scarf around his neck so that it would appear as though he had a toothache.

Today, The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, wrote a prayer to merit miracles and wonders like the holy Satmar Rebbe zt"l. Here is the prayer for reading and download:

A PRAYER FOR THE DAY OF RESCUE, 21 KISLEV, OF THE SATMAR REBBE YOEL SON OF CHANANYAH YOM TOV zt"l

Master of the Universe, Almighty—by the merit of this holy and awe-inspiring day of the year, the 21st of Kislev, the Day of Rescue of the holy Rav and Tzaddik, Rabbi Yoel son of Chananyah Yom Tov zt"l—grant me the merit to see, in every moment and second, open miracles and wonders, eye to eye, just as You granted the holy Rav and Tzaddik, Rabbi Yoel son of Chananyah Yom Tov zt"l. And perform for us, and for all the members of my household, continuous miracles and wonders—like in the days of Chanukah, like in the days of Mattisyahu son of Yochanan the Kohen Gadol.
