Today, 25 Tammuz, is the Yahrtzeit (Anniversary of Passing) of the "Ohr

Master of the Universe, I know that I am in Your hands alone, like clay in the hands of the potter. Even if I were to exert myself with advice and schemes, and all the inhabitants of the world were to stand at my right hand to save me and support my soul, without Your strength and Your help, there is no help and no salvation. And if, God forbid, they all desired to do me harm, then You, in Your compassion, would set Your eyes upon me and look down upon me for the good from Your holy dwelling. Behold, my portions have fallen in pleasant places, my salvation has come, and my help will be revealed. Therefore, help me, Master of the Universe, that my eyes may be open to constantly see the truth of this matter. May faith in You be firmly planted and fixed in my heart at all times, so that I will not turn away—neither in speech, nor in action, nor in thought—to serve anything other than You, God forbid. Rather, may my soul truly pursue Your good will. Also, help me so that Your greatness, Your mighty deeds, and the revelation of Your life-force at every moment never depart from my thoughts and my heart. Let me remember my own insignificance among Your works, how little I am considered among Your creations, and that I am as nothing compared to Your creations even if I were completely clean of any sin. How much more so, since my iniquities have multiplied over my head, I am the most lowly of all Your creations; for they fulfill Your will for which they were created, while I, in the haughtiness of my heart, am abominable in Your eyes. Help me that the trait of submission and lowliness of spirit be attached to my heart and my thoughts at all times and at every moment. May the fear of You be upon my face so that I do not sin, and may my heart constantly rejoice in You, for You have created me for Your glory. May Your love burn within me, and may You emanate upon me from Your wisdom, so that Your greatness, Your might, my own insignificance, and my lack of understanding are always before my eyes. Let my heart not become haughty, and let me not chase after honor, greatness, or wealth; rather, let my soul yearn only to do Your will, which is upright in Your eyes. May I be ready at every moment to surrender my Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshamah (levels of the soul), my body, and all my possessions for the sanctification of Your Name. Remove all the barriers that separate me from You, and return me in complete teshuvah (repentance) before You. May everything You do with me be pleasant to me, and let no matter confuse or distract me from Your true service. Let no person's jealousy rise against me, nor my jealousy against others, and let me not desire anything other than Your will. Teach us the path of Your statutes, to serve You with a pure and clean heart, with joy, with a humble spirit, and with love for Your people Israel. May Your Name be sanctified through me, through my offspring, and through the offspring of my offspring until the end of all generations. Let no flaw be found in us, God forbid. May we be saved from the desecration of Your Name, and may we merit to engage in Your Torah for its own sake constantly, amidst expansiveness, in teshuvah, with knowledge, with joy, and with a pure heart. May we be guarded from every sin and from every iniquity, and may we rejoice in the words of Your Torah and in Your mitzvos forever and ever. May we merit to rectify (tikkun) that which we have corrupted, and may we not be shamed in this world, nor disgraced in the World to Come. Amen, may it be Your will.
