Tourists from Korea Praying at the Cave of the Patriarchs the Prayer of Rav

Media websites are publishing articles featuring G-d-fearing Jews together with tourists from South Korea at the Cave of the Patriarchs, praying for the cessation of the severe Coronavirus pandemic that is raging throughout the world.

The important detail that the news sites forgot to mention is that the moving prayer being recited by this special group is the prayer composed by the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a. If that were not enough, the story behind the prayer is amazing and chilling. Just before Rav Berland shlit"a was arrested on false pretenses, we published an article with the prayer against the Coronavirus; this was the wording of the article:

"After being occupied all day with the study of Torah, he emerged from the ritual bath (mikveh), and with a burning countenance, the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a said, 'There is a terrible decree to destroy the world due to the Coronavirus.' And indeed, since the prayer of Rav Berland was published in dozens of languages and spread throughout the world, it has reached major news channels globally, and in China in particular. But only a few know the story behind the writing of the prayer.

Upon leaving the mikveh, Rav Berland shlit"a told those in his presence that it had been revealed to him that there was a harsh decree to destroy the world, Heaven forbid, by the Coronavirus. The Rav was gripped by holy thoughts and for a long time performed yichudim (unifications) regarding the matter of the Coronavirus decree. Then those close to him understood: the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a once again stopped the Holocaust with his own body, and this was by taking upon himself all the humiliations surrounding the arrest and the slanderous talk surrounding him.
