Why Do You Need to Get Married? The Daily Chizuk from Rabbi Eliezer Berland
shlit"a

The Daily Chizuk from our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – "One receives the mochin (intellect/consciousness) through one's wife"
Wednesday, 22 Tevet 5785 – "What did Chana pray for?"
These are his holy words:
Why must one get married?
A person receives the mochin only through his wife. "With this (b'zot) shall Aharon come into the holy place" (Vayikra 16:3); 'zot' refers to his wife—if he is not married, he is forbidden from entering the holy place.
A person receives all of his mochin through the mochin of his wife; that is how he receives the mochin. If not, he receives no intellect, and he does not develop.
Chana's prayer to merit the light of Mashiach
The light of Mashiach, for now we are bringing in the light of Mashiach, "He will give strength to His king and raise the horn of His Mashiach" (Shmuel I 2:10), the light of Mashiach which is through Chana.
Chana wanted to draw down the light of Mashiach; Chana prayed for the light of Mashiach. "He will give strength to His king and raise the horn of His Mashiach"—everything that Chana prayed for was for the light of Mashiach.
"He will judge the ends of the earth, and He will give strength to His king and raise the horn of His Mashiach," for the entire prayer of Chana is to merit the light of Mashiach.
Why is there no fifth cup at the Seder night?
So why do we not make a cup (at the Seder night) corresponding to 'v'heveti' (and I will bring)? Because 'v'heveti' is only Mashiach.
'V'lakachti' (and I will take) is possible, but we do not drink the cup of 'v'heveti'; that is the cup of Eliyahu HaNavi.
'V'heveti' is in Parshat Va'era, "with drums and dances" (Shemot 15:20). There is 'v'hotzeiti' (and I will bring out), 'v'hitzalti' (and I will rescue), 'v'ga'alti' (and I will redeem), and 'v'lakachti' (and I will take), but for 'v'heveti' there is no cup. 'V'lakachti' is for Eliyahu HaNavi—that is only for the time to come.
Even though we came and there was exile, it was nullified; the question was nullified. After that, we came a second time, and again it was nullified.
'V'heveti' is only for the time to come; therefore, the cup of Eliyahu HaNavi will only be drunk in the time to come. Now it is still impossible to drink it, but 'v'lakachti' is possible.
