Zos Chanukah in the Presence of the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

A Lesson on the Greatness of Zos Chanukah ○ Yom Kippur Melodies Together with The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a in His Home
Following the custom of Breslov Chassidim, as brought in Sichos Sarfei Kodesh, to gather together to sing the melodies of Yom Kippur on the night of Zos Chanukah, The Rav shlit"a observes this practice every single year. Even in the year 5778, he held the Zos Chanukah night gathering publicly. This year, The Rav shlit"a conducted the order of the night of Zos Chanukah in his holy home together with his family. After lighting at the window of his house, he sat down for the Zos Chanukah night meal and began speaking words of holiness about the greatness of this day—Zos Chanukah. He also spoke about matters of Chanukah in halachah and aggadah. After about twenty minutes of the lesson, they began the melodies and passages from the Yom Kippur prayers with awakening and enthusiasm. For more than an hour and a half, they sang the Yom Kippur piyyutim according to the Breslov nusach, while The Rav shlit"a from time to time served as the chazzan himself—such as for the recitation of “Shir HaMa’alos MiMa’amakim,” and also for the passage “Achas, achas v’achas…”. One could truly feel the awe of the holy day deep within the sanctuary. After about an hour and a half, they concluded with the melody that seals Mussaf of Yom Kippur—“HaMevarech es amo Yisrael baShalom.” The Rav shlit"a recited Kaddish Tiskabel, and within the Kaddish they began the joyful concluding melody that is sung in the Kaddish at the end of the Yom Kippur prayers. After the Kaddish, The Rav distributed Chanukah money to his family members, and entered his room after 21:30 with the singing of “L’shanah haba’ah b’Yerushalayim…”
