A Bris in the Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the Grandson of the Heart-Gladdening Rabbi Shimon Peretz shlit"a, with the Participation of the Great-Grandfather, the Gaon, Maran Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Karp shlit"a

A Shiur and Stories from the Heart-Gladdening Rabbi Shimon Peretz shlit"a about the Greatness of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a ■ The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a was honored as Sandak and with the Berachos ■ A fiery, holy exchange after the Bris between the two Tzaddikim
A special Bris took place on Tuesday, 28 Adar I, in the home of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a. The Bris was for R’ Nachman Peretz (may he live a long and good life)—the son of the one who brings merit to the public, the senior lecturer, and the heart-gladdening Rabbi Shimon Peretz shlit"a—and the son-in-law of R’ Shmuel Chruzhinsky shlit"a, a Rosh Mesivta in the “Chochmah V’Daas” yeshivah and the publisher of The Rav shlit"a’s sefarim—who is a son-in-law of the great gaon, the author of the sefer “Hilchos Chag B’Chag,” Maran HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Karp shlit"a.
Until The Rav shlit"a entered for the Bris, the grandfather—Rabbi Shimon Peretz shlit"a, who gladdens hearts and brings merit to the public—shared a few words of chizuk before the Bris, and also spoke about the greatness of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a.

The great-grandfather—Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Karp shlit"a—was honored as the Kvatter, and the grandfather, Rabbi Shimon Peretz shlit"a, was honored with the Chair of Eliyahu. The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a was honored as Sandak and with the Berachos. The act of the milah itself was performed skillfully by the mohel of our community, R’ Yosef Shor (may he live a long and good life). “And his name in Israel shall be called Natan son of R’ Nachman. Just as he has entered the Bris, so may he enter Torah, the chuppah, and good deeds.”

After the Bris, Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Karp entered The Rav’s room, and the two spoke for many long minutes in a fiery, holy exchange, blessing one another with friendship and great love—two Tzaddikim bound together in warmth and affection.
