"Everyone Must Vote Gimel" — A Sacred Call from Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Everyone is obligated to go and vote—immediately in the morning. At seven in the morning, everyone should already be at the polling stations—everyone—so they will already see that Agudah has won. Because the only group that protects religion is only Agudah. We only want Shabbos to exist here, and for yeshivos to exist here. And the moment Torah is learned here—the Arabs will not harass us. And whoever does not vote—this is very simple—he is establishing a government of wickedness. It does not matter for what reasons he is not voting: maybe they did not accept his daughter into the seminary, maybe they did not accept his son into the yeshivah—this will work itself out for him… But with his own hands he is setting up a government that wants no trace of religion to remain.
And in order for there to be Gemara learning, one must vote Gimel!
Their goal is to uproot all the yeshivos with all kinds of excuses—and all kinds of laws they legislate…
Therefore, one must know that today is war—the war is with the slips. Once, war was with bullets, with shooting, with arrows and spears. People decided that instead of killing one another, it is better to write slips; and whoever merits the most slips—he will be the king…
A person must know that this is more than halachah, because today we are in a state of destruction. Everyone said there would not be a Germany—everyone. All the Rebbes said there would not be a Germany, that Germany would not do anything—except Rabbi Avraham Elimelech and Rabbi Yechiel of Ostrovtza, who fasted forty years to annul the decrees. And Rabbi Avraham Elimelech said that if they had fasted on Rosh Hashanah, they would have annulled the decree—just as they fasted on the night of the Seder. He was here in Meron; he screamed. They heard his cries in Tzefat. The gabbai ran to him with a cup of boiling milk: “Rebbe, you’re going to pass out!” He said: “How can I pass out? I haven’t accomplished anything.” That was a time when everyone said nothing would happen—everyone was complacent, all complacent. Now the war is the very same war: they want to make the entire Land of Israel “Red Haifa”… One must emphasize that this entire ‘state’ is the greatest lie in the world—that today, instead of arrows, they fight with slips.
The slips are war!
This is not elections!
It is forbidden to say the word “elections.” They use the word “elections,” and whoever goes to the “elections” they want to boycott him even more. Now we are in a situation where soon almost nothing will remain… Today there are iPhones and phones, and the secularists said that today there is no need to fight with the religious—just distribute iPhones to them, and automatically they will become secular. A person who has an iPhone becomes secular. Even if he is religious—it is only from the lips outward. Any child who has seen an iPhone is already religious only from the lips outward.
Therefore we say that now this is a war over life and death, and the only war is to place a Gimel slip!
And whoever votes Gimel will merit all the blessings; he will have Olam HaBa, because through this we save the Torah. For now this is a war over life and death: they want to uproot the Torah, and we want to live the Torah. And this is the only war we fight—for the sake of the Torah. Every party—even if it is religious—has all kinds of side goals, all kinds of secondary goals. The only party whose entire purpose is Torah learning and guarding Shabbos, and the education of the boys and the girls—has no other goal.
Anyone who votes Gimel saves all of the Children of Israel from spiritual destruction—and also physical.
And in this merit he will be blessed with all blessings: he will have Olam HaBa, and extraordinary wealth, and shidduchim, and sons and daughters—for everyone who votes Gimel!
Hashem is with you.
