He Who Connects to the Pure is Pure

A woman whose son fell ill was asked by Rabbi Berland shlit"a to bring a Pidyon Nefesh. To fund this, she wrote a letter to the Rav asking to find a job in a "pure place" and left it in her bag. Immediately afterward, she received a miraculous phone call from a woman who called her by complete mistake, offering her a job in Taharas HaMishpacha (Family Purity).

Here is a story that was left on the telephone system, and the details of the story were later verified by the family of Rabbi Aharon Brand from Modi'in Illit.
A Pidyon Nefesh for the Healing of the Son
A resident of Jerusalem, a woman named Michal, who merited to draw close to the tzaddik along with her family, told them the story that happened to her, which contains tremendous strengthening in Emunas Chachamim (faith in the Sages). A while ago, one of her sons contracted a certain illness. So that he would heal quickly, she sent a question to Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, asking him to instruct her on what she should do for this. The Rav answered that they must bring a Pidyon Nefesh and the child would heal.
This woman was very organized regarding her household finances, and the total expenses were calculated with great precision against the total income. Therefore, in order to pay for the Pidyon Nefesh to the Rav, the woman knew she had to seek additional income for a while. During her Hisbodedus, she spoke with Hashem, may He be blessed, asking Him to help her find a job that her heart desired with good conditions. While doing so, she sat down to write a letter to the Rav in which she detailed her desire to obtain a job in a pure place so that she could bring the Pidyon Nefesh from money that came from a pure source without any doubts.
She folded the letter and left it in her bag. She believed with all her heart that the very act of writing the letter was a connection to the tzaddik of the generation, and therefore the action is accomplished in Heaven even if, in a physical and visible way, the letter did not reach the hands of the tzaddik. The woman had done this many times; she would write letters to the Rav pouring out her heart and expressing her yearning for spiritual strengthening, and she would leave them in her bag without actually passing the letters on to the Rav. And she did the same in this case.
A Job in a Pure Place
Behold, at the exact moment the woman finished writing the letter, in which she asked, as mentioned, that the Rav intercede on her behalf so she would merit to find a job in a pure place, the telephone in their home rang. On the line was a woman she knew, but not particularly well, and she asked her with special warmth: "How are you, Michal? What are you doing and where are you working?"
As the conversation continued, this woman told Michal that she works in Taharas HaMishpacha (Family Purity) and she was calling to offer her to work alongside her on a shift. Michal was in shock; she had just finished writing to the Rav that she should merit a job in a "pure" place, and she was already being offered a job in Taharas HaBayis (Family Purity). She answered affirmatively, and they continued their conversation.
A Supernatural Wrong Number
After a few minutes of conversation, the woman suddenly asked Michal, "Tell me a moment, which Michal are you?" She replied with her last name. There was an awkward silence on the other end of the line, after which the woman said, "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to call you at all. I am looking for a different Michal. We do know each other, since my son and your son learn together in the same kindergarten, but I didn't plan to call you. And anyway, how did it happen that I called you, when I don't even have your phone number anywhere?! Well, but since it was arranged from Heaven that I spoke with you, then come to work tomorrow, okay?!"
And Michal understood that when the tzaddik brings about salvations, he operates above nature. Even a woman who planned to call a different Michal to offer her a job would get confused and dial a completely different number and reach her, just to grant her the merit of working in a pure place.
