Prayer (For Mincha: "When I call out the Name of Hashem, ascribe greatness to our God")
My Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare Your praise. Blessed are You, Hashem, our God and the God of our forefathers, God of Avraham, God of Yitzchak, and God of Yaakov; the great, mighty, and awesome God, the supreme God, Who bestows beneficial kindnesses and creates everything, Who recalls the kindnesses of the Patriarchs and brings a Redeemer to their children's children, for His Name's sake, with love. O King, Helper, Savior, and Shield. Blessed are You, Hashem, Shield of Avraham. You are mighty forever, my Lord; You resurrect the dead; You are great to save. (In summer: He causes the dew to descend. In winter: He causes the wind to blow and the rain to fall.) He sustains the living with loving-kindness, resurrects the dead with abundant mercy, supports the fallen, heals the sick, releases the bound, and fulfills His trust to those who sleep in the dust. Who is like You, Master of mighty deeds, and who is comparable to You, O King Who causes death and restores life and makes salvation sprout! And You are faithful to resurrect the dead. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who resurrects the dead.
(Kedushah is recited during the Chazzan's repetition)
On Rosh Chodesh and Chol HaMoed, the following is said:
Our God and God of our forefathers, may there ascend, come, and reach, be seen, accepted, and heard, recalled and remembered before You, the remembrance and consideration of ourselves; the remembrance of our forefathers; the remembrance of Mashiach ben David, Your servant; the remembrance of Jerusalem, the City of Your Holiness; and the remembrance of Your entire people, the House of Israel—for deliverance, for good, for grace, for loving-kindness, and for compassion, for a good life, and for peace on this day of (On Rosh Chodesh: Rosh Chodesh; On Pesach: the Festival of Matzos; On Sukkos: the Festival of Sukkos). Remember us on it, Hashem, our God, for goodness; consider us on it for blessing; and save us on it for a good life. In the matter of salvation and compassion, pity, be gracious to us, and have mercy upon us and save us, for our eyes are turned to You, because You are God, the gracious and compassionate King.
And may our eyes behold Your return to Zion in compassion. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who restores His Shechinah (Divine Presence) to Zion. We give thanks to You, for You are Hashem, our God and the God of our forefathers forever and ever. You are the Rock of our lives, the Shield of our salvation from generation to generation. We will thank You and declare Your praise—for our lives which are entrusted into Your hand, for our souls which are placed in Your charge, for Your miracles which are with us every day, and for Your wonders and favors at all times, evening, morning, and afternoon. The Beneficent One, for Your compassions were never exhausted, and the Compassionate One, for Your kindnesses never ended—for we have always placed our hope in You. And for all these, may Your Name be blessed, exalted, and uplifted, our King, continually forever and ever. And all the living shall thank You, Selah! And they shall praise and bless Your great Name in truth, forever, for it is good. O God, our salvation and our help, Selah! The beneficent God. Blessed are You, Hashem, Your Name is "The Beneficent One" and to You it is fitting to give thanks.
Establish peace, goodness, and blessing, life, grace, loving-kindness, and compassion upon us and upon all of Your people Israel. Bless us, our Father, all of us as one, with the light of Your Countenance, for with the light of Your Countenance You gave us, Hashem our God, the Torah of life and a love of kindness, righteousness, blessing, compassion, life, and peace. And may it be good in Your eyes to bless us and to bless Your entire people Israel, at every time and at every hour, with Your peace, with abundant strength and peace.
Blessed are You, Hashem, Who blesses His people Israel with peace.
May the expressions of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, Hashem, my Rock and my Redeemer. My God, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceitfully. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be like dust to everyone. Open my heart to Your Torah, and let my soul pursue Your commandments. And as for all those who rise up and plot evil against me, swiftly annul their counsel and frustrate their design. Act for the sake of Your Name; act for the sake of Your right hand; act for the sake of Your Torah; act for the sake of Your holiness. So that Your beloved ones may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer me. May the expressions of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, Hashem, my Rock and my Redeemer. He Who makes peace (During the Ten Days of Repentance: the peace) in His heights, may He make peace upon us and upon all Israel. And say: Amen.
May it be Your will, Hashem, our God and the God of our forefathers, that the Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily in our days, and grant us our portion in Your Torah. And there we will serve You in awe, as in days of old and as in ancient years. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to Hashem, as in days of old and as in ancient years.
For the complete healing, success, and salvation of Morinu HaRav (Rabbi Berland) and the Rebbetzin shlit"a, physically and spiritually.
And for our entire holy community, that it may continue to grow and flourish, to magnify the Name of Hashem in the world, and to illuminate the light of the tzaddik in all the worlds.
