The avreichim (married Torah students) of the 'Shaarei Hora'ah' Kollel were privileged this past Monday, the night of the 4th of Iyar, to enter the holy residence of our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, for a special and strengthening lesson in honor of the opening of the summer zman (semester).

During the lesson, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, spoke on several topics including: Nadav and Avihu, the incident of Shimon and Levi in Shechem, and the dispute between the Ramban (Nachmanides) and the Rambam (Maimonides) on the subject. Later in the lesson, he spoke with great awakening and like a flaming fire regarding the matter of Ahavas Chinam (unconditional love) and the caution required regarding Lashon Hara (evil speech). Afterward, he strengthened the virtue of Tzedakah (charity), specifically regarding the matter of Hachnasas Kallah (providing for a bride). After a lesson of an hour and ten minutes, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, recited Kaddish with melodies and went out for the Maariv (evening prayer) with a large multitude.
